  1. Maybe, but its a sealed system - that's how it makes pressure. You could have barely any oil in it, and it would still make pressure cuz the air has no where to go. But it wouldn't hurt to have a towel handy
  2. Shouldn't be so full that it will overfill it.. its just allowing the fluid somewhere to go.
  3. I'm very similar mods (hardly any), looks like only diff is that I got cpi pipes. I'm at a 270 now, and I think I still need to go down to a 260... Silencers tips still get a coating of oil. Id think that with fmf, ud be a little leaner, try starting at a 260? What's ur main at now?
  4. Take the brake reservoir cap off. It'll allow the fluid to move back into the bottle.
  5. Ya, I'm in Utah, 5k.. I can't see ur mods in Mobil view, what are they?
  6. Cpi sells inframe stinger tubes.
  7. Mobile version seems to be better. I like that there's no pages, just one long string.
  8. If built and tuned right any motor u build will be reliable. I think the problem is, when u start getting bigger and faster, u tend to tune on the edge... When my top end goes (2006, never opened) I will be doing an aggressive dune port stock cylinder stock stroke. But, a 7 mil would be fun. I'm sure with the correct set up (swinger, tires, carbs, tuning) either motor would be rideable for what uve described ur riding style is. I'm not sure at what size trenching the cases comes into play, but that's where I bet it starts getting real pricey. But, you get a good port on the stock cyls, and u tune it good... You can beat an average tuned 4 mil.
  9. U camping? Gonna be snowing.....
  10. Ls will be next.. already tried with some Damn bushes.. they'll be trying to protect those golf ball sized horned black beetles next.
  11. The more power ur making, the more of a diff it will make. My bike is stock besides the cpi pipes, and when I go to mtns or need spark arrestors, I bolt on my modified stock silencers (fully welded to fit perfect), and it mostly changes sound, seems to run a tad richer...but that's also going from almost no restriction to the most restriction.
  12. What is safety wire? I've seen it sold with grips, but how's it work, and what's it do? And how are u using it on bolts? I'm unfamiliar with this stuff. I guess not everyone is as strong as me, I don't even use loctite..
  13. Umm... Mine don't have any washers.
  14. Clogged jet., or stuck float needle. Mine sat for a bit, and that needle that's attached to the float got glued in with varnish..
  15. The compressed air theory kind of makes sense....but wouldn't it just push up the cable and out by the thumb nut? I mean, if theres enough compression to hang it.
  16. Picture 1 or 2?
  17. Interesting, then why would it come blocked from factory? Tors would help in the event of a stick. Did they know wed all get rid of tors?
  18. I looked at clymers, didn't say either way that I could find.
  19. I hope your right. But also want an understanding of why it's there, what's it do. Is it Iike a boost of some sort when get a high enough hp bike?
  20. I know, tried..having trouble uploading to Photobucket... I'll keep trying. It's the piece that goes in the slide..that holds the needle in. Has 2 screws.
  21. So I've never really paid attention before. But I'm working on getting jetting dead on. So the washer thing that the cable goes into and holds the needle into the slide... Does it go in so the hole is open or covered? Does it make a diff? What's the hole thre for? I looked in clymers, but no diagram about that. Thanks guys!
  22. Do it man. If you plan to keep it and can afford it... I bought my 06 when there was 3 left in the state (july 07).. paid $5400, and didnt think twice. Wanted one forever, wanted an unmolested one that I wasn't going to have to spend a year chasing down an air leak, or electrical prob. It was my foray 2-stroke, amd I wanted to learn on a new one. One of the best purchase decision I've made. I keep it indoors, and its still stock besides the cpi inframes and k&n. I love it, its reliable, and I know every hour that's been put on it. I don't plan to sell or try to make money, if that's the goal, you'll fail. Hope that helps, sure ill get shit for overspending, but building it as I go is nice, cuz I can always get more power.
  23. Looks like all the other white trash Banshees with flames and skulls...cuz that makes it fast, surprised its not all black.
  24. I modified my stockers to fit mine. Switch em out if I need them.
  25. Good point. What u list em for?
