  1. I line em up. But forgot to line a paddle with valve stem this last time I mounted them... So they are off. No difference in the sand. Hard surface a little annoying, but it reminds me to go slow.
  2. Think these will work better than Skid plates, or do they go along with them? My wifes Trailblazer has them from factory, but look like they only work if u hit a rock straight on, u can still catch the chain or rotor from an angle. So I put a skid on also.
  3. I run techniplate at 32:1 and have for years... Been thinking I should change to 40:1 like the jug says?
  4. Most hardware stores... I like lowes
  5. Only when u want it to. Holds up better than paint. Plus you can easily change it if you don't like it, or wanna change color.
  6. Plasti-dip the ones you have..
  7. Why? What kinda riding u do?
  8. Hell, depending on how u dune... Just make sure those pipes are secure. If u wanna jump it, inframes, and get some hubs and Reg front wheels.
  9. Well there are so many "my bike is not running right" threads, so I'm starting this one about those who's bikes are running good. Stock bike, cpi inframes, k&n on pro flo plate, no lid, 270 mains, needle leaned one clip, and 5k elevation. And it runs!
  10. Just mount them in place of the screws holding the front fender on. Then u can use any aftermarket ones u want.
  11. All public land in Utah requires spark arrestor... Lame, they don't care so much at dunes, but I've been checked at delle, bountiful and farmington canyons, and up by soapstone. I'm modding my stock silencers for permanent attachment to cpi headers.. they sound quiet and no power change. Then I'm gonna sell my cpi stingers and polished silencers..
  12. Well if they are just standing back a bit with the meter, it might get u where u wanna be. It's crazy about the noise checks. No one cares here, we have a spark arrestor law.. but not enforces at dunes.
  13. Don't see how that'll make it quieter.. but I sure hope it works for you!
  14. Let me have the rims if they are not all jacked.. I love the gold rims, think they'd look sick on my yellow 06. But every set I find are junk (guess that's what taking rocks since the 80s will do)
  15. Those are kinda big for the fronts aren't they?
  16. I'm sure u got some stockers laying around... Cut em and use high temp silicon hose to connect and fill the gap. I do that when I hit the mtns. Got about 3 inches of hose between the head pipe and stinger. But it works.
  17. My 06 is stock. I got cpi and love them. Plenty of lowend, if the jetting is good then they are a great pipe. I dune and trail ride, its more fun on the pipe, but I can putt around all day. It's all about the tuning!
  18. Floats? I did the same thing after winter... Kick kick kick. Finally took carbs apart, and the needle piece that let gas into bowl was varnished in.. cleaned and then worked great. But I'd never pull or push start it.. if it doesn't start like it should, something wrong...fix it first.
  19. Klotz flexdrive 30 for me too. I haven't changed it for 2 years... Just did it today and it looks new. Not much clutch material either.
  20. Klotz supertechniplate... Was just thinking to use less oil and smoke a little less.. Well, if no good reasons to change ill proly leave it...
  21. First off, im thinking of going from 32:1 to 40:1 mix ratio. What way if any should i change my jets? Its running great now, should i even change? Second is about my wifes trailblazer.. 250 2-stroke, oil injected. Mikuni 30 mm i think. Completely stock, 130 main now. Ordered a k&n for it, thinking of removing airbox lid and giving her a size or more... How many you think to start?... Stock filter is paper clamp on with foam sleeve. Im thinking 6, so to a 190?
  22. I thinks that's bull... I've had my chain for 5 years (since I bought bike new) and all I do is wd before I ride, and after wash. Never any probs! wd doesn't degrade anything, people spray it on everything. Hell, if u want shiney...it works better than any tire shine. Coat all plastic and rubber with it, and wipe off excess. And it'll keep shit from rusting.
  23. Guys on dodge and cummins forum use it a lot for wheels, bumpers, mirrors, emblems.. pretty much anything they wanna turn flat black. now that its nice weather, I'm taking all the badges and junk off my new truck. And I like the Chrome, if u want it black, buy the base model!
  24. Just pick one, and keep it coated in wd.
  25. Mines stock besides the pipes. I did do away with tors too. I run air box with no lid in summer, got a pro flo adapter plate with a k&n with an outerwear.. never had a prob in 5 yrs. First year I had it stock, paranoid to take lid off even after pipes. No probs, but when it cools down (usually same time it starts getting muddy and wet, I put lid on. And I don't jet down. No snorkle tho!
