  1. I'll give you $ 100.00 for them.
  2. I'm quite certain it was a hole for a mechanical tach drive on the early RZ 350 bikes Chris. I think it ran from above the kicker shaft to center of the case and then came up through the top of the case towards the back. Mike
  3. I personally don't think the 400EX is a "BAD" quad by any means. I do believe that they are good for beginners, or riding slow wheelies on though. As for the DW staff, I think they should try a different brand of breakfast cereal before writing their articles !!! Try Me !!!
  4. I can't wait for more pipe comparisons on these along with prices. I'm also very curious as to how well the CR 500 Liger runs, I would almost have to bet better then the Sabertooth.
  5. Yep, had the same thing happen to me..... sand ate the top end due to the stupid fuckin foam ring not staying sealed up. I'm just hoping in my case it didn't eat the crank bearings, I had to flush them out with shit load of premix to get the sand out. Need to get the Pro Design adapter and get the clamp on style filter for use in the stock air box !!!
  6. I thought alcohol was illegal in Alaska, I've watched Alaska State Troopers before....LOL
  7. Yep, IMO the best thing would have been to just show up later and tried making it right with the vehicle owner and left the deputy dawgs to whatever else they do. We all know now that your pulling one of these numbers..... when you should just have pulled one of these numbers....
  8. "got rid of my yama lube... kept gummin up my slides in my carbs and causin them stick open... switched too AMS Dominator synthentic oil and haven't had a problem yet" Shouldn't have anything to do with gummin' up your carb slides at all.......... However, I have always ran Honda's HP2 at approximately 40 : 1 with either premium pump or AvGas when riding at Silver Lake and never had a problem. Ran that motor for like 5 yrs without a teardown, never smoked, always started first kick.
  9. A really good friend of mine just moved out to Apache Jct, here this last spring, he had told me about seeing 4 wheelers cruisin' around on the roads out there. That would be awesome for sure.
  10. Just send your shit to BansheeBoyz racing, I think they're the hot ticket
  11. I'm kinda curious about the outcome if they could be slightly modded with maybe a slightly larger stinger tube and some after market silencers ???
  12. http://www.smcomp.com/~smurph/RZ-EFI/index.html Here is a good article for ya. Mike
  13. Tom Borrink........"Borrink Performance"
  14. Just hit up Borrink Performance ( site sponsor ) and get a set of his R2's
  15. With my Rocket's, ( they are the first gen's ), there was really no loss of bottom, but the mid came on hard and pulled like a freight train to the top. When I first put them on and did some jetting of course, I could pull 5th gear sit down wheelies without clutching, with at the time only other mods being timing bumped +4 and drilled air box. The rest of the wheeler was stock as in the pic. Mike
  16. I've never run the CPI's, yet have heard they pull really hard, but seems like people with more pipe experience that have experienced both have said the Rockets pull harder. But then again, I'm a big fan of the Rockets.
  17. DUHHH !!!! Come on now guys..... everybody knows what a lock out is, it's the front mechanical hubs on the old solid axle front end of your 4x4.
  18. Maybe if I had the cash....... I would send a set to Jim at Passion and have him work a set over with his 12 port conversion that he does. It would be interesting to see the outcome, it would be cool to see it have a lot of torque broad mid and excellent top.
  19. This is on my 1UA RZ top end not a standard Banshee top. I don't have the proper tools for measuring the deck height, but by eyeball, it looks damn near zero to me.... The edge of the piston crown comes level to the deck of the cylinders. Mike
  20. Thanks 4stroker, I will check into that for sure. Mike
  21. There is no doubt that all 3 pipes are great pipes and very great power makers..... I think everyone would agree that the Shearer would make the most peak power and the least bottom power, so I probably would not choose that one for all round riding. I personally run the Rockets and have never ran the CPI or the Shearer, but from my experience with the Rockets, no loss of bottom - Hella mid to top. The CPI probably makes things a lil more accessible then the original Rockets, so if I were going to opt for new pipes it would probably be the R2's. Mike
  22. No problem, I'm very happy with the workmanship. I thought about maybe getting a custom .020" copper head gasket to get the squish a lil tighter though. Mike
  23. It's been done before, not exactly sure who has done it, but Mull Engineering is not the first. I remember seeing it a long time ago and it was referred to as a " Turbo cut ", I didn't get mine done specifically for that though. If you look at my pics, you can see that one of the chambers was pitted and gnarly looking and according to the guys from the RZ / RD forum the stock RZ head has a terrible squish band to begin with, so I decided to send it to Brandon because their design looked really cool. Mike
  24. Mull Engineering is a site sponsor and here is a link http://www.mullengineering.com/sc/store.php/products/yamaha-banshee-yfz-rz-head-mod-billet-cut-modify-machine-squish-dome-plug-heat-race-drag-online-modify-modification
  25. This is my RZ head that I had just received back from Brandon at Mull Engineering. This thing looks amazing and can't wait to finish this build. I have included both before and after pics. Just wanted to say thanks to Brandon for doing an awesome job !!! Mike
