  2. Sorry if this wasn't the correct place to post this topic. My old blaster finally blew up 2 weeks ago when my girlfriend was driving it. We were just playing on the trail and she was following me on my banshee. All it needed was a new Piston, rings, seals, and a little honing. No damage was conflicted upon the crank. I wasn't in the mood to rebuild the Blaster myself and i had some money on my hands so i just said, "Hell ill take it to Yamaha, how much could they possibly charge to rebuild a little 198cc 2-stroke" I took it in 2-weeks ago. Just got a call today and they told me my engine was ready to be picked up. I asked what the pricing of it was and it seemed as if the guy was avoiding my question. So i asked again and i was shocked to hear 890 bucks! I was like, "No god damn way" I am actually pretty pissed off about it. That is ridiculous, so he says it is including shop time. They must of taken 5 hours to rebuild the damn thing. I know it is a professional rebuild and all, but 890 bucks.. that is over half the damn quad right there. I know i will never get it back. I am in Wasilla, Alaska and there are no other builders around. Anyways, i am just letting you all know. Please.. if you have a 2-stroke, Don't be lazy and try rebuilding it yourself or try to find another builder besides Yamaha. I definitely just ruined my month.. I am going to discuss the pricing further as soon as i get there but i don't think it is even going to do much. God damn it. I should just take the engine and run lol
  3. Them rockets look really sick as well, Thanks guys.
  4. I need to know which pipes have stronger top end power on a bolt on bike. Stock bore, stock stroke. Thanks
  5. hahaha yeah, it does. But we all know what you are talking about. Or atleast we all hope so.
  6. I'm in Alaska as well. Good to see someone from this forum is here as well. I'm in Houston out towards Willow. I head to Jims creek a few times each summer and ride around with my friends. I just bought a Bone stock banshee the other day though and my budys all got 450's, so i will be racing them there a lot. I at least gotta get some good bolt-ons before i do so though. Great to know I'm not a loner on this forum.
  7. So what pipe do you guys believe to give the most rpms and horse power gains on a stock/bolt on shee? Also, what is bad about having CPI inframe big bore pipes on it? I really like the style of rockets. Does this site still produce them? Any of you order from this site? www.rocketpipes.com
  8. I drag in sand, and sometimes dirt. I am going to try to get my compression the highest i can without having to run race fuel. Weird thing, i cant find any dyno charts between rockets, cpi, or shearers. I heard cpi and shearers get good top end as rockets are strong mid range. But also i hear rockets and cpis are identical in both rpms and top end pull. So i am trying to get strong top end and lots of rpms.
  9. Hi, I'm new to this forum so i wasn't completely sure if repairs/mods was the appropriate place to post this topic. Anyways, i just bought a bone stock 2006 anniversary addition Shee(Yellow) and i am going to be making a project out of it. I am going to see how fast in drag racing i can get it with ONLY bolt on mods. I am of course going to be starting out with pipes, jetting, reeds, airfilter, and carbs and such. I have been thinking about getting Cpi Inframe big bore pipes, shearers, or rockets and such. Looking for a pipe with good mid-range and very aggressive top end. What is all your guys opinions on all of those pipes. All suggestions will eb very appreciated. Thanks
