  1. I am tired of blowing out rear shocks, if anyone has a good fairly new rear Banshee shock PM me or e-mail at [email protected] Thanks.
  2. Who did they get the replacement locknuts from? I have the Durablue Eliminator and would like to upgrade to a better locknut.
  3. I borrowed a brand new set of 20-10-10 11 paddle Extremes this last weekend at L.S. for Spring Break. They worked great for draggin, but I felt got a little too much traction for overall riding. My swingarm is only about 1/2" longer than stock, and I weigh about 165. I think I will go back with 10 paddle Hauler Extremes, my last 2 sets of regular haulers had the crappy paddles that cracked and flew off.
  4. OK, I recently picked up a LSR swingarm and had the back end apart. Now I can't keep that stupid Durablue locknut from loosening! I guess I did get lucky and I should have bought that lottery ticket!!!! So "alloyspecialties", are you making a replacement for this yet? If so I need one.
  5. If you do that, please don't ride around me!
  6. Mine's a 1988 and it has done it for years. Used to drive me crazy, but I've had it apart several times and it runs fine.
  7. Exactly what he said.........
  8. Is one of the slides in backwards? I know you said it does it when warm, but just thought I'de throw that in here.
  9. I had my first (and last) experience with LSR this last week. The guy on the phone lost them all my future business.
  10. Looks like I'll be going over on the evening of the 16th, and staying until the 21st. Probably going to camp in Cowboy Campground. Driving a Bronze Dodge 4x4 with a Wanderer Wagon 5th wheel. Several Banshee's, a LT80, and a LT50.
  11. I have been using 10 paddle haulers for many years, work great with a ported motor.
  12. You can also remove the axle carrier from the swingarm and lengthen the slots the bottom bolt swings in. Just use a Dremel or die grinder and try to keep it on the same arc, so it will allow the carrier to rotate more toward the front of the quad. This should give you the added adjustment you need to loosen the chain up.
  13. If you don't mind, what did you pay? Right now my rear braided lines are $38.00 up to about +8. After that I like to quote each one. I get charged differently at my supplier for different lengths I buy. I'm about ready to either stick a gun in their ribs and take my money back, or buy 100 feet of it so I can get a better deal. I bought the first one from LSR for $35 plus $8 shipping. It was too short and also didn't have the Banjo fittings clocked 90 degrees apart. The 2nd one I got from cyclebrakes.com with 2nd Day Air for a whopping $71.80! This Spring Break dune trip is adding up fast, and I haven't even seen the sand yet!
  14. I always ride with a fanny pack with a 20 ounce bottle of water, keep a spare spark plug in there too.
  15. No problems since 1988 with sand in the engine. I used to use a K&N in the airbox, and then swapped to clamp-on K&N's for more power.
  16. You sell braided brake lines too? I just had to order a special one for my LSR swingarm. You should keep us updated on your product line!
  17. There is also a small half moon plate behind the clutch basket, with a bolt going into each half that has to be removed. Then you should be able to tap the case with a rubber mallet and lift the top half off.
  18. Plug gap will remain the same. Sounds like a jetting problem.
  19. If you have the quad in neutral the flywheel/crank will not turn. If you sheared the key the quad most likely wouldn't even start.
  20. That's a bunch of cr@p! Either head will work better than the stock configuration, and shouldn't hurt reliability either when installed correctly.
  21. UPP makes some cool Rezzie clamps. I bought a set for my wifes Banshee but haven't put them on yet.
  22. I also use WD40 on my chain. Dean Sundahl used it for years racing and winning the Baja 500/1000, and if it is good enough for his race quad, then it will work fine for us duners. I have used it for many years with good results.
  23. I think Holyman has an extra RZ flywheel.
  24. Even from a dealer the correct key is only like $3. You need to use the right one, otherwise you will have problems.
  25. I have been buying the MSR chain rollers from Rocky Mountain ATV for about $12 each.
