  1. Brand new never used, these were my back ups... I went back to OEM. $125 for both shipped. or $75 a piece shipped.
  2. Mine had about .100" too when I put it together. Along with the nubs, I also ground the "waffle" area flat. I haven't had any issues with it.
  3. My friends stock bore/stock stroke KENZ built Raptor 700 put down 74hp and 54ft lbs at the wheels after he got he got it built and tuned...My Banshee has a fully drag ported 421 cub with all the bells and whistles on it. On paper my bike should make atleast 15 more HP than the 700, but in the real world he gives me everything I can handle and more. This is dragging on sand..uphill and flats We trade wins all day long with each other. He's 230lbs I'm 200lbs...We both admit my shee pulls slightly ahead on the very, very, top end...Maybe a bike length up the hill. I would put my money on the 4 stroke if they both made the same "peak" HP on a dyno.
  4. Just go with the FAST clutch and be done with it. Jeff's a super guy and the sponsors help keep this site going. With that being said, any clutch kit not made in China will be fine as long as you run heavy duty springs. Spring pressure is what keeps the clutches from getting smoked. I've been running the same $50 Tusk clutch with all 6 HD springs for over 4 years now with a 90 hp motor with zero slippage. I recently installed an overide and lockup (3 trips ago) and the clutch still looked brand new, so it went back in. I was amazed that my OEM basket was grooved all to hell, but there was hardly any sign of wear on the the outer clutch tabs themselves.
  5. If you go through Phoenix there's a place right of the I-17 and I-10 junction called Western states petroleum. http://www.westernstatespetroleum.com/index.htm Thats where I buy my fuel. It's a main hub in the southwest so you'll get the best price. It's a little over 3 hrs to Glamis from there. Have fun!
  6. Thank you but I found a flywheel and it's on it's way. I'm still looking for an OEM stator though guys.
  7. OEM Stator needs to be '95-current....OEM flywheel uncut. Please no Ricky Stator junk..Thanks.
  8. I don't know the specs on a Trinity stage 3 port job, but my guess would be you can get more aggressive porting out of them with another builder. You have a nice foundation with all the bolt on's, but if you like to drag and want to go faster you'll need aggressive dune/drag porting for CPI or Shearer pipes and bigger carbs.
  9. Jerry Hall in Glendale 623-931-8132 He's not the cheapest, but he's one of the best in the buisness..Give him a call and talk to him for 5 min, you'll see what I mean.
  10. Well how did your guys trips go? I had a great time, bike ran great. Kicked some ass at the hill. Shit ton of banshees out there, but I didn't reconize any HQ ones. Next trip New Years!
  11. Yeah I know exactly where thats at. I've camped out there a few times. We usually like to camp in the "key hole" because we like to start off hitting those dunes just east of there, they're pretty tight and technical, so we like to be fresh when we hit those lol. We're not showing up until thursday morning, so our normal spot will probably be already packed. Might actually be camping out towards the flats. I'll keep an eye out for your bike at the hill or over at the drags.
  12. We also have the same mods, excect im running 21cc domes. I was good at 158 main, 48 pilot and middle clip EEK needle. 300-500 ft about 60-85 degrees.
  13. Yeah Jerry's a good guy and extremely inteligent. I had him dyno tune my KFX. He knows the Power Commander real well for all the EFI bikes.
  14. I'll be at Buttercup wednesday night.
  15. Kevin Herr would be my choice too. I made the 5 HR drive from PHX to personally meet Kevin and drop off my cylinder for him to port. He's a super nice guy and the most down to earth person I've talked with in this business. If you want to stay local, Jim at Insane Racing would probably be my choice.. I've met and talked with Jim a couple times out at the ET drags and I got a pretty good vibe from him. Stay away from OHTON RACING!! I had a horrible expierence with him that wound up in small claims court, which I ended up winning the judgement. The guy runs a ponzi scheme.

  17. I think Insane is right off I-17 and like Peoria...I've met Jim once out at the ET drags, real nice guy. I prefer to camp at Gordon's and Buttercup, but IMO Glamis' Olds hill is a much better race hill then Patton Valley.
  18. ^^^ Yea thats the quad. Insane Racing is in Phoenix.
  19. I went 2 hard dune seasons on my 421 cub and despite a couple of flywheel and stators issues the motor was flawless. I tore it down a month ago for some fresh pistons and drag porting and everything looked really good inside.
  20. X2 on the gearing. I'd run the stocks carbs too. Nice looking bike.
  21. Use a jaw puller. Don't forget the lock nut at the end of the tie rod shaft, the end with the flat on it has left handed threads.
  22. Shearer's will work fine on your dune ported clinders and yes you need to jet your stock carbs. You need to ask yourself if it's worth the cost to dragport cylinders that are already .08 over. FAST duneport, 35's and Shearer's that bike's gonna rip. If were up to me I'd run the piss out of that set-up and If you need more, wait for a good deal to come along for a cub set-up. 57 hp now, I'd say mid 60's with the 35's and Shearer's. Just my guess though.
