  1. What kind of bender do you have? I have a JD Squared with multiple different die sets. I did not get the hydralics, i dont do enough, but man is it handy.
  2. You know what i cant even remember right now. will have to look when i get home. Its not one of their current machines. I've had it about 8 years. It is really big so not too portable. I belive it is rated to 5/8 aluminum if i remember correctly.. To be honest, i dont use it a whole lot. next on my list of toys is a break. I have a small shear, but that could use an upgrade too.
  3. didn't know i was a hater. whatever the hell that means. you asked for help, i told you how my bike is jetted for basically the exact mods. bottom line though, nobody can tell you what jets your bike needs. we can only get you close. You have to check the plugs and evaluate how the bike is running. Next time i wont help.
  4. Yeah, looking forward to playing with it. Also miller fan. currently have millermatic 210 mig machine and miller plasma cutter. right now have hobart power source but no high freq, thats why no aluminum, so the new dynasty will be replacing that.
  5. I check them at idle and get them even using the idle screws on the sides of the carbs (tors removed) Then i screw the cable adjuster at the thumb throttle out until the bike starts to rev up a little. Next adjust the cable adjusters on the carb cap untill the carbs are even again. This makes sure that the carbs are in synch at idle and in synch when you hit the throttle. Screw the cable adjuster at the thumb back in until you have about and 1/8 inch of free play at the thumb throttle and you are done.
  6. Hobbyist also here. I do a little of everything it seems. Anything from bikes to roll cages to iron fences. Just ordered a miller Dynasty 350 tig runner package today. Cant wait to get it. Ive never welded aluminum before, so am looking forward to having that capability now. First project on the list. Im going to build a gas tank for the back of the bed of my pickup that will allow me to hook and unhook the fifth wheel without moving it. Wanting about 60 gallon capacity for the banshee race fuel. Need enough to feed 2 bikes for a week in the dunes. Im tired of all the jerry cans.
  7. just for reference, 4mil crank, cheetah cubs, pistons, cool head, 39 pwks with billet bowls, good clutch , shearer inframes, pingle valve and all the other little stuff is gonna run you right around 4k. Should put you at 80-90 HP on race gas and will kick the shit out of the 4 poke. Dont forget you are going to need a longer swinger etc etc etc. A Cheetah motor im guessing would be at least 1500 bucks more by the time you figure the bigger reeds and the cylinders are more money.
  8. ROFLMAO that thread is priceless
  9. NOPE. No nice banshees here
  10. Almost an hour and counting still up
  11. I think he might be the owner of the site
  12. Dang, beat me to it. that place bugs me. Id get thrown off for a free bike
  13. Damn, its probably a good thing i dont live there. My wife is ready to divorce me over my new motor and all the other crap. Good thing i have a credit card she still doesn't know about.
  14. I wonder if the seat is for sale
  15. Jeff called me tonight and said all my chit is shipping tomorrow. KICK ASS  It was 8:30 at night here, so 10:30 his time and he was still working. Busy dude. thanks for the quick service jeff
  16. Yep, going to need to do a plug chop to verify. When i first put the pods on I went up 2 sizes to a320 and it ran great, but the smoke ring on the plug chop was very light colored. I jumped straight to the 340s and the bike actually still ran great, but the plugs looked better, so that is where she is staying. Like i said, on my bike, the pods required 4 sizes larger over a uni clamp on in the stock box with NO lid.. If you previously had a K&N clamp on then maybe the change wouldn't be as drastic, I dont know. I have never jetted a stock bike with shearers, so I cant answer the question accurately. If it runs good and doesnt' cut out at high speed, I would leave what you have in there and do a plug chop right away. May be perfect, may be lean, may be rich. Nobody can really answer.
  17. Those are nice, I wonder if he can make them for inframe shearers. The site only mentions t5,t6,cpi
  18. Yeah, that doesnt sound too bad at all. My smart ass remark was based solely on what the guy had told me he spent on the bike. He sent a basically new banshee down to ESR and had them do there 400 kit on it and all kinds of junk. He spent a lot of money for a bike that would barely put a bike or 2 on an RZ banshee with no porting up comp hill at dumont. Lets put it this way, I will have a lot less in my 421 cub from FAST and I gaurantee i will whip him.
  19. Well built and well priced. LOL they are proud of their stuff
  20. Yep personally I think all the endangered crap is just a way for the tree huggers to bully shit around.. I dont believe one word of it. Plus i find it hard to believe that pismo beach is the only damn place these things can nest. Oh well rant over its too late anyway i suppose. Jeff certainly is busy, hes putting together all my parts for my 421 build too. Cant wait.
  21. Yeah, they looked huge compared to a t5
  22. Not to get too far off subject, but twistedtrik, I have been seriously thinking about picking up a miller dynasty 350dx. Do you have much seat time with one? Is it worth the money to go to the inverter machine over the old synchrowave? Have done a little tig work in the past only on steel and stainless, but need to learn how to do aluminum. I dont have high freq now, so need to upgrade equipment. thanks Phil
  23. When i was in the market, i had a hard time deciding between the jackson, the speedglas, and the optrel. I ended up going with the jackson because i got to use one and liked it.. Im no pro, or instructor, but i definitely agree, the nice helmet was worth the money.
  24. I have a jackson nexgen autodarkening lense in one of their halo-x helmets. I love it. here is an ebay auction for one just like mine. http://cgi.ebay.com/JACKSON-NEXGEN-WELDING...1QQcmdZViewItem The only down side to it was that it seemed kind of heavy to me. That is why I ended up buying the halo-x helmet as it is an extralight helmet. The lenses are interchangeable so it slid right in. It is now available wit the nexgen lens in the halo-x helmet so you dont have to move it around. when i bought mine I could only find them in the heavier helmet. here is a link to their site with all the part #s you can get plain black or fancy whatever you want. http://www.jacksonsafety.com/linkdetails.cfm?groupid=3013586 I have been really happy with it. It has a 3 in 1 feature that will let you use if for cutting grinding or welding with the push of a button. It has sensitivity, delay , and darkness adjustability. Plus it has a sensor at all 4 corners so it doesn't flash on and off if your arc gets hidden behind a corner in the middle of a bead.. I really like that feature. A bit spendy but well worth it. IMHO
  25. Yep, thats them. little fuckers. I bet they taste like chicken. maybe next time i'll take the pellet gun and put a couple of them on skewers over the camp fire. LOL Yep it is too bad. From what i have heard they actually prefer to nest in the open areas and not the ones with all the vegetation as it allows them to spot predators earlier. So everytime some green grows, the tree huggers fence it and then the birds move over to our side. Place just keeps getting smaller and smaller. I too enjoy sand mountain. Takes me about 6 hours to get there. Pretty cool, we take nobs to and go blasting through the desert.. That place too has been shut down a lot though.. When i was a kid we used to take the sand rails across the street and go to the old ghost town and check out the abandoned mines. My understanding is you cant do that anymore. Environmentalist suck cock.
