Sour Dealings with Majic Performance
bonbon replied to Bansh-eman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I don't remember the exact squish I had, 0.055" is what comes to mind. Yes I checked parallel with the wristpin, both sides. I was running 2 base gaskets to lower my compression a bit so there is no way that the piston should have been hitting the dome. Unless the dome moved like you said or was messed up itself. It looked right when I took it all apart to put the 20cc's in. Now I'm going off the fact that I have had no problems with the 20cc domes. I ran them (hard) for 4 days at LS Utah and then pulled the head apart when I got back and it looks fine. I don't remember what my squish was on the 20's. -

About the dome. It may have been cut wrong or my crank may be going. I have no idea right now. With the 20cc's I have pulled my head back off once and there is no sign that anything is hitting. Makes me believe that the problem was in the dome. -

Kiel is right, I got fucked. I didn't say much about it at the time but I'm not usually the guy to call people out on shit. But between what Kiel, Greg, Jared, some people we've met at KP, and I have seen over the last couple months, Mike has been fuckin with people. Here was my deal....... I wanted to get a 65mm bore stock stroke cub. Mike said no problem. He couldn't get a hold of the 65mm bore so I said go ahead and get the 68mm bore if you can get it quicker. He split the difference in price with me for the pistons and domes. Cool. I wanted my parts by Labor Day. I was getting 20cc big bore domes, but then he sold the only set he had on hand out from under me and I got stuck with 17cc's. I agreed to that and he was gonna send me 20's when he got them and let me keep the 17's. No problem. He finally shipped my parts out on the wednesday before labor day weekend. Said they were overnighted. So I took friday off of work to put my motor together and go ride. Well the parts showed up on friday night and the box said UPS ground. Overnight my fucking ass. So right there I lost out on $250 for not working that day of the week. After this I decided I had no need to ever do any business with him again and just get the parts he owed me and forget about it (I hadn't heard of any other problems with him, maybe mine was a one time deal for him). Oh and I also had to buy race gas (which I did NOT want to have to run, hence 20cc domes) but said I would for having to use the 17's. Well that cost me another $140 that I did NOT need to spend. He got me the 20cc domes after I talked to him about them several times and when I took my head off apparently something is wrong with the 17's that were in there. The left side piston was tapping the dome. My squish was good when I put the motor together and I don't know what happened there, but now I am also out of a topend for $160 that I should not have needed. I have had ZERO problems with the 20cc domes. He thought a billet gas cap and some acorn nuts for my head were a good way to apologize for the problems. Whatever. EDIT: There was also the clean up port Mike said he did for me because it was taking a while to get it all together........jack shit. I can pull it apart and show you some pics there is nothing done. I can't complain much about that because I paid nothing for a clean up port, but I was told that there was one done. Bullshit. -
that ain't no shit. except I was still checking all the time to see if the site was back up

oh yeah just take one of your longer ones in or a nut to get the right ones. They have ones the length for say a prodesign coolhead and short ones that are the length of the stockers.
-
I would give you mine but they just got donated to Jared for his noss head. You can buy them at ACE if you are in cheyenne sometime. They're about 2.30 a piece though, just don't tell them you got 10 lol.
-
haha those are good
-
I don't know the size off the top of my head but when I needed some I took 1 down to Ace and just matched it up down there.
-
Cool man, thanks for the info. I'll have to try and give them a call tommorow.
-

I would rather roll my bike down a hill on top of myself and know it was because I'm an idiot than put those on my bike.
-
Wondering if somebody has some CPI's that they want to get rid of. Let me know what ya got. Or some shearers if the price is right.
-
hahahahahahaha I can't even think of how many times I want to do that to people for so many different things
-
Bump for a badass bike man! Get 'er sold and get a hill bike built. I like being able to ride them year round and you'll be happy with doing it.

Jared's right about having to kick through the gears a lot with a stock stroke. Either do that or do what I do..........liberal use of the clutch and just ride it wide open. There is absolutely no low end to mine, once you fall of off the pipe you have to either clutch it a bunch or kick down a gear to get it back up. But, the thing is one hell of a fun ride and I like being wide open most of the time so it works pretty good for me. All in all it's got all the power that they claim and runs like a drag port (which it basically is), no bottom end. And I'll ride this thing anywhere. Dunes, dirt, trails, and hillclimbing. You just have to know how to keep it on the pipe and it rips like crazy. No matter what people say about them.

Cool post. I agree. Thats basically how I learned everyone of those points and wouldn't have it any other way!

hahahahahaha nice :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao: :yelrotflmao:

No shit. If I didn't already buy mine I would be all over that like me on a cupcake. I got about the same amount (1300) in my stock stroke cub right now.

I was wondering if anything would come out of that. Should have known..... Except these guys probably get paid more than the porn stars would. Just not as much fun  I'll let Jared know in the morning to check on this shit for chase and loco! -

Exactly.....24 hour on call and he got stuck basically working alone this last weekend and they were down 2 guys the last week and a half. Company men and toolpushers get pissed when you don't show up and then you lose your job so it can get busy and stressful.
