How long you had these dave? I was looking for CPI's and just ended up buying some shearers about 2 weeks ago. Got a good deal though so I can't complain. Just keep your eyes open and you will find a good deal, just have to wait sometimes. I'd been looking for about 3 months and finally found something I wanted 2 weeks ago at the price I wanted.

They are 20cc big bore domes. If I remember my compression was right around 130-135. My timing is set at +4. I don't know if I got some bad gas or what the hell was going on there. I just doesn't seem like it should be detonating to me. Any other ideas?

No problem man, I've been known to cut a few corners but I usually know that by doing it I'm running the risk of breaking something. Like the pits in the domes. Probably from sand. Well my pods aren't in the best of shape and just the other day my outerwear on the left filter decided to hit my pipes and get some nice holes burned in ut. I kinda ghetto taped it together and went out. Most likely get some sand that way and it was only the left cylinder so I'm sure thats it.

The silicon was just to hold in the o rings because I had no grease handy. And the only one that would even need it a little bit is the big one that just holds the coolant in the head, not from going in the domes or anything major. It was not leaking at all the whole time. Just that oring on the dome split and let coolant in and might have been trying to pressurize the cooling system a little and was forcing it out my overflow.

Yeah I think I know why the dome looks like that. I cut some corners last time I melted it down, last 4th of July. I didn't split the cases to clean it all out, just flushed it out like 20 times with some mixed gas and then oiled it all up really good. Everything was real smooth (bearing wise) and its been running great. I've found the o-rings will work except for the huge one around the outside to hold the coolant in (just been reusing that one). Thats why I cheat and use a little silicone on there too.

Well my banshee was spitting coolant every now and then yesterday, I thought it may have been overheating. Well I checked my impeller and it was in good shape but I was slowly losing coolant even if it wasn't spitting out the overflow tube a little. Here is what I saw when I pulled my topend off a little bit ago. So apparently my o-ring broke. Now, would burning a little coolant cause those pits in the domes? The right side looks cherry, this is only on the left. And once when I checked my coolant yesterday, it was frothy in the radiator which makes me think it was getting slightly pressurized from the broken o-ring. Anybody have some input?

How much you looking to get for that thing? It would be perfect for my bike!

I was thinking the same thing. Any waterproof connector would work as long as you get the wiring right, correct?

2 nuts and bolts and simply pulling the masterlink on your chain and you can have the swinger off enough to get a slider on. Thats the way I did it. But like the others are saying, they do make the ones that you can put on without removing your swingarm.
