  1. Maybe it's been asked before, if it has I apologize as I did a search but didn't find anything. Just post up a link to what I need if you don't care. Anyway to give a quick rundown here's what I'm dealing with... I have a '97 stator, CDI, regulator, kill switch/headlight switch, and key switch. My harness is for the later models, don't know the years exactly but I know it fits the '06 connectors. My dilemma is that I don't know exactly how far this harness goes back until I'm gonna be running into problems with my connectors. Will everything work or am I gonna have to find different components? Sorry if this sounds sketchy, I don't have the harness available at the moment or I'd just look at the connectors.
  2. Wouldn't do any trading on them would you?
  3. I can't say that it would actually hurt performance but a good rule of thumb is the lowest octane you can run without detonation. The lower the octane the faster the burn and also the higher octane burns hotter making the engine run abnormally hot. So in theory I wouldn't say that the race fuel would hurt performance, but rather "hinder" it. You'll make more power on a lower octane if your engine is set up for it than you would with race fuel. Plus I don't know what you guys pay for fuel but that's about a $3-4/gallon waste if you don't actually need it. Just my 2 cents.
  4. Just like the title says. It has dual 5/16 hose fittings with 3/8 NPT inlet. Would be great for a drag tank that has a 3/8 NPT bung welded on. I know this is a crappy picture but it gets the point across. If you'd like better pix just ask. Price is $75 shipped to anywhere in the contiguous 48 United States. Chris
  5. Where you been? I've been riding all day...
  6. I'm not familiar with the dual lines but the way I understood it was that there were 2 lines going to each caliper . I'm not too sure but I'm confident that the braided lines will give you the effect you're looking for. I went with SpeedLinez from ASR on both front and rear myself. They're really nice and at a good price too.
  7. Still available: rear carrier and swingarm balance/crossover tube Toomey filter and airbox vents crank kickstart gear mechanism front shocks cool head domes 15,16, 18, 20, and 22cc sets
  8. PMd you again, they're yours for the taking.
  9. If that was truly the case then by all means disregard my comments and I apologize.
  10. Once again, if you don't wanna leave well-enough alone then refer to post #10, it may as well have your name all over it. I already posted what was gonna be my final post in this thread but then out come the nay-sayers again and again so I feel I must explain myself. If you or anyone else disagrees with me wanting to use the factory-correct parts then so be it. Are you gonna be the one having to deal with it or spend money on it? Not at all. Personally I think the "hose clamps" look like a hack job but you don't see me bashing someone else's shit or talking down on them for using it do you? It's just not my cup of tea so I prefer the OEM stuff and keep to myself. So run along and go get off on someone else's thread please. This one is done except for others having to have the last word probably for some kind of sick mental-emotional satisfaction that I can't explain... At this rate it will go into next year so may as well "sticky" it. I'm done.
  11. I know you said you didn't wanna hear it but the truth is the truth, get some braided lines... Yes it really does help that much. And don't look at it as much as an accessory, but more of an investment. I had the factory rubber lines on my R1 and after I put Galfers on the front of it the difference was night and day, btw those factory rubber lines were only a year and a half old too. I couldn't imagine the sponge-like feeling of 11 yr old lines. By the time you've gone and put all of this 450 stuff on there you could've just bought some braided lines, new pads, M/C rebuild kit (which you said you already had), and some good DOT 4 fluid and had a perfectly good brake system. Other than that I'd look into whether or not you have a rubber lever or not because there should be no excuse for it reaching all the way back to the grip without being heavily deformed lol. Brake fluid has to be changed on a regular schedule too but being a mechanic I'm sure you already knew that.
  12. I noticed that as well and had to order some more parts from MRCycles.com so I just added them onto my order. Logic would tell you that they're on the "Intake" page where the other clamps are but no no, that's too easy. This would've been a lot more simple than all the BS we went through to get to this point but seriously thank you very much to everyone for your help. Chris
  13. ^^^What he said.^^^ This is where I got mine and is the cheapest "shipped" price I could find. This should be a Banshee enthusiast's FIRST investment. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Yamaha-YFZ350-Banshee-1987-2006-Clymer-Manual-M486-6-/200436053985?pt=Motors_Manuals_Literature&hash=item2eaaeb77e1
  14. I appreciate your concern for my apparent lack of ability to find my own parts. Last I checked my local hardware store didn't sell OEM Yamaha parts. That was the whole point of this thread. If you don't have anything to say about the OEM pieces then pass on, it's really pretty easy if you climb off of your high horse for a second... Some of you guys waste more time bitching at people than it would take to just keep the reply short and to the point, or even as I said, just pass on. Seems every forum has people like that though. I greatly appreciate the effort to go take pictures, I really do, but if I wanted traditional "hose clamps" I'd just use what I have. I don't see why there's such a big deal with wanting to use the factory-correct parts.
  15. Dude if it's that big of a phucking deal then forget it, I'll manage. Don't waste your damn time getting the pictures or on postage to send me the clamps. I'll get them from someone that is a little more gracious. I just really don't wanna waste anyone's time or efforts if I'm not gonna be able to use 'em. Ya dig?
  16. Can you PM me a picture of what exactly you're talking about? Do they at least look stock or what? I have no idea why they would be discontinued from Yamaha but I need some regardless. Kinda thinking I may have to improvise.
  17. Ya for the stock airbox. I just bought some new ones for the airbox side but I thought I forgot to get the carb inlet side. Now it seems as though there was a reason I didn't get 'em, I can't even find 'em!
  18. I'm in need of some boot clamps on the inlet side of the carbs. I've tried my local stealership and MRCycles.com and I can't find any diagrams that show them. Can anyone help me out or does anyone have some for sale? I need some pretty bad...
  19. $10 shipped and it's yours. PM me for more info. Chris
  20. Sales pending on sets of 18, 20, and 22cc domes...
  21. Don't you hate when you've gotta order more parts that you didn't expect?

    1. THElady

      THElady

Yes to haha damn right too. I have to go get parts today myself as a matter of fact :) It is annoying when you get all psyched to ride then you find some random b.s. and have to stop n fix it

It's even funnier when you have your parts and then a job that should take no more than twenty minutes to do an install takes you like three hours because bolts don't come loose haha

  22. Received headlights today and they look great. Thanks a ton, Chris.
