  1. If the gap on the pickup is too big, it will breakup on top like that. Mine did that. Took i dont know how long to figure it out. Interesting how the littlest thing can cause that much bs.
  2. No override, wtf?
  3. Not to knock the two companies you mentioned but there are other places that do great work. And some will ship out w/ in two weeks of getting it.
  4. better than the garbage played on BET!
  5. IMO it's the rider, not the bike. When you are on a pro level, you have a frakenstien quad with every mod you could ever need.
  6. This is Banshee HQ. How dare you say ANYTHING with an engine can beat a banshee. You better pm an admin before you get banned. I reckon these forums are for keyboard racing. Not preaching the truth damnit.
  7. juggs are what....700+? then there's carbs, pipes(cheetah with stock banshee pipes?), suspension to make it hook, tires, jets, pistons, domes. 4 stroke top end is more expensive than that? Oh wait, now your OEM clutch set up is slipping. Enter an expensive clutch and or lockup. Oh now you cant shift. Enter an override. Now you need case gaskets, maybe new bearings, yamabond. Cubs are cheap man!
  8. t5's are great pipes. If you mostly trail ride then i would stick with t5's. Only reason i switched to CPI's is because i do tons of top end riding. Again, if you chose CPI's and rather Toomeys, then you can swap or sell them.
  9. I had your mods and my bike was ported for T5's. Then i switched to cpis. Powerband came on slightly later. But the top end put was way more. You can just hear the engine scream and pull those extra rpms. If by some chance you dont like it, you can also swap them back for t5's or just sell them. People always want a good deal on CPI's. Good luck with your decision.
  10. Why not just get a bore/hone and redo the top end and call it a day? Save for the 4mil set up. I personally wouldnt let a machine shop touch my ports unless they have tons of experience. Plus any extra money you spend on that can be put toward a 4mil set up. As for port questions, whoever you go with should be able to help you with anything you need.
  11. I meant what mains, not needle. my mistake.
  12. What size mains? Did you check to see if your floats are adjusted right. I had that problem.
  13. Damn that sucks to hear. My bad. What needle are you guys running with your 28 and 30mm carbs. Not the needle clip but the needle itself. Thanks.
  14. atf type f is less than $2 a quart at wal-mart. Get two quarts and try it. At worst you lose $4. I used it before i went to my override and it worked fine. I still run it because it's cheap. I dont believe in spending $8+ a quart on expensive oils you will just change in a few weeks.
  15. Whoever ported your bike should be able to help you with mods and/or carb selection.
  16. Only thing i dont like about the 30oko's are the fuel inlet. The damn brass piece should be bigger. For that reason i wouldnt buy another set. Other than that, works great. However, it wouldnt of bothered me to stick with stock carbs.
  17. Isnt the port job suppose to go with the pipes? When i was ported for my 4 mil, we discused the pipe/port combo i was gonna be best suited for along with my powerband needs. hmmm
  18. NWS for language NWS for language http://videos.streetfire.net/video/RICER-VIDEO_4385.htm On a serious note. I used to laugh at imports till i rode in my buddy's turbo hatch. A properly built turbo 4 banger can be nasty. You dont need a ton of power due to the weight. and i dont like mustangs either.
  19. I seen that add all the time in motosports' magazine. Are you on stock cylinders and if so did you use the stroker gasket kit?
  20. stupid ass comments. Freakin Jesus Christ himself must have built Chevys with his own two hands. God damn Chevy nut swingers.
  21. nice runs man. how long is that track.....and why you not power shifting?
  22. zach that's too nice to drive around.....
  23. Yeah i looked on his site right before i posted. I'm at a stand still anyway with my bike. My 1-5 is perfect. My bike doesnt have the power to pull 6(if it had it) with 15/41. And if i drop a tooth in the front i will go through the gears too fast. So fine right now. It does a good 68-70mph on 20's to that's fast enough. I'd prob hit close to 80 with pro wedges and that's more than i need for sure.
  24. 1 two stroke pipe just isnt right for a banshee.
