  1. But if it works, it works. If it works for others who's set up pull a lot more fuel than small engines with small carbs, then it isnt needed. If it is no needed, then people need to stop recommending parts that people should be buying. Just cut the fuel cap which is free and save money.
  2. According to recent FB post, a 465 on alky does fine up long hills with stock bowls(39's) and petcock.
  3. That's about on par with Turbo Chassis on price. I do not speak for quality since i ride slow like a fairy princess.
  4. Welcome to fun! Leave extended arms for the drag racers.
  5. If the banshee has the power to out run it, i predict the banshee will just spin it's ass off and wont catch up by the time it hooks. raptor ftw.
  6. It's doing great. I rode it for the first time in about 2-3 months for labor day weekend. It's still on a stock swing arm and will remain that way. I'm still trying to find some CSFX silencers. The exhaust is too loud. It's still without plastics. I've been spending money on other toys.
  7. driveline LP's with port work will produce more power on the track than you can handle. Get that. Call them. Discuss with them.
  8. Wow that dude is giving that engine away.
  9. That's a terrible idea. It's too much power. You will need triple that to achieve your goal unless you buy used junk. This is spot on. This is also spot on. I have the invoices to prove it. There's countless threads on suspension. Use the search function. That's how i did it. The bike isnt even finish. How about you listen to the guys who have spent a lot of time on a 110hp bike. So far, you are not taking their advice. see below. Add $2000-$3500 for used banshee. Or add money for used frame/engine core. Engine core is around $1000. This is cut and pasted from my 521 build. The bike still isnt 100% complete!!! But it's been ride able for almost 2 years. That's a terrible idea. You need to read. They require big bore pipes. That's easily over 2k. Because the shorter the swing arm, the better the bike hooks and turns. I had a +6. I hated it so much, i didnt want to ride my bike. The tires spun until 5th gear. It turned like a boat. I went with a stock length and i'm much happier. And of course due to the traction and power, i cant use all of it's power. I hope this helps.
  10. One shop's dune port may be another shops play port, mx port etc. You need to discuss with whoever you chose where you want the power and how you want the power delivered. I personally dont undestand curves on a piece paper so i have to tell the person porting how i ride and what i want the power to feel.
  11. I just left all that stuff off and thew it away. I just have cap and line. I dont use the two plastic pieces nor two ball bearings.
  12. i used to think you were over exaggerating...
  13. buy some new clutch springs....they are cheap.
  14. You have SLP pipes if i remember correctly, i have shearer. I turn a lot more rpms than you when WOT so it will be harder. That's my 2 cents. Why do you have anything other than stock springs with a lockup? That's making the clutch harder to pull in for nothing.
  15. I have a lockup with 6 stock springs. Engine makes 109/57. Mine is hard to up shift @ WOT but most people tell me i need to adjust the eccentric screw etc even though it seems to be fine. Apparently it should shift like butter even with a lockup with a lot of weight.
  16. I wonder what that will do for power delivery compared to previous ones he built. Anyways, I sure hope you have some very wide trails with long straits and very wide turns. Otherwise you will be under the powerband the most time. Go no longer than a stock length swing arm. Going with BBIF shearers, sniper or LED? I find shearers are high strung on the engine. But Id assume he will set up your power delivery different from mine. Mines more open field play stuff.
  17. I thought OEM electronics were most reliable and should be used...?
  18. Wouldnt a plug chop help you decide if it's too rich assuming it's on gas? I went a few sizes too big on the main jet than perfect on my old 4mil and it never acted like that. I've had it break up on top end but it was due to the pickup's gap near the flywheel was too big.
  19. i can kick start my 521 with crocs on. My purse doesnt even fall off my shoulder.
  20. I would not put a fan infront the radiator or a fan period for higher speeds. Plus when riding at fast speeds, a properly working cooling system with upgraded impeller and radiator should be fine. I upgraded everything i could and i know it takes long for my engine to warm up due to the added cooling. I would also take the guts out the stock fuel cap(make sure you dont have a fancy breather on the vent line as well), run billet bowls and a dual pingel just to be safe. Id also have a temp gauge that i can easily see the read out while riding.
  21. I hope Walther comes out with a similar model. Walther's PPQ is basically what H&K's VP9 is modeled off of. Both have great reviews.
  22. Has anyone got their hands on the new vp9sk yet? I have not been excited about a pistol in a long time. This is also the first polymer pistol that i like that isnt all black although it will come in an all black version: http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160926/3cf269f720ca5d485909468ef808caed.jpg http://hkusa.s3.amazonaws.com/20170423181931/VP9-SK-Web-1024x752-Ext.jpg I didnt use image tags to help our phone uses scroll easier. I'm looking to replace my glock 27. Something i never thought id do.
  23. I disagree with the grab bar because if your foot hit the ground or gets caught, you are going to have a bad time.
  24. If he messes up bad enough wheeliing the banshee, he will get to try the wheel chair.
  25. Ride one for a few hundred feet. Ill wait for the video.
