  1. Now i can not unsee this. May as well get some type r stickers now. Thanks
  2. That looked effortless! What's the highest gear you can pull the front tires off the ground without using your body momentum? As in just stab the throttle to make it come up? I will try to go ride this weekend. I think i can in 4th.
  3. This. I have very little gripper material on my seat and my body slides back VERY easily with the power i make. I recommend the whole seat in gripper material. It will be ugly but it's much easier and safer to ride.
  4. I talked to him a while back to see if he could do anything to have a quieter silencer made. There was also one other company that did it custom made but i forgot the name. This was the cheaper, bolt on and according to some who had it, a quiet option. I debated powder coating the entire system but i want the expansion chambers chrome to break up the color scheme a little. So now i can put my old stingers/silencers with the new head pipes and sell them. Time for me to order some new exhaust packing before i forgot.... edit* Can anyone with fullbore rear plastics measure the area on the side that the "350 6-speed" sticker goes on? You can see it one of these https://www.smartcycleguide.com/L51824820
  5. I got some Cascade CSFX silencers(and stingers) in Monday. I have been waiting nearly 2 years to find a set. I ended up buying the entire system because the guy didnt want to separate. I cant blame him. I took a quick idle video after test fitting. I will be getting the stingers and silencers high temp satin black powder coated due to the condition they are in. I am not a fan of polished silencers. I will also repack the silencers. I'm not sure how the packing is but it does seem a bit loud. I should be getting some plastics within 2-3 months. For some reason, i cant post the video link
  6. No expy is needed. You just need to lock tight the three screws that hole the cosmetic circle plate on. I've mine leak trans fluid from the bottom one maybe 2-3 times that i remember in 6+ years of having it. And twice was with my 521 and that sob vibrates its ass off compared to my old 4mil.
  7. He has small bore pipes which are much quieter than the big bores i run. I actually just acquired a set of CSFX silencers Monday for my pipe. I will try to fire it up this weekend to see how much quiet it is. I thought a decibel meter but these things are obsolete anyways. It took me nearly 2 years to find a set. I run one. If i can find the pictures i have showing exactly that, ill post them up. I lost them all on my hard drive but i think i backed them up. You basically grind it flush. It takes longer to pull the cover off the bike then to actually make it flush.
  8. That's mighty nice of him. The guy who just shipped some shearers to me was quote a lot less by USPS than UPS. Your box will be far smaller though.
  9. Bike looks good. Ill check on the silencers this week if i remember. I actually have a second set of shearers on the way today but they are BB pipes.
  10. This has summed up what i've read so far in this thread. I've had plugs back out and i kept tightening them up. I then had to get my cylinders bored, new top end, domes etc. I learned the hard way.
  11. I kick mine over with crocs. But i have to put my purse down and kick it hard to avoid the kick lever kicking back. I'm also a lot smaller than you are.
  12. I've got a pump gas 10mil 72 bore. I put an aftermarket kick start lever for more contact area on the bottom of my foot. I'm glad i didnt do race fuel due to it being even harder to kick. This is the coolest thread ive seen here in years.
  13. I lost yours as well. Ill pick them up this weekend if i go visit. I may actually go ride my bike! prob not...
  14. A little over a dollar a foot i think. It's the same stuff you can buy at any auto parts store. Napa also sells a higher grade type of hose too but to me that was over kill. BTW i found the toomey stingers/silencers if you still want them. Shoot me a text tomorrow afternoon, ill be by my folks where they are at. The stingers need TLC.
  15. I couldnt be guaranteed if coating my cylinders and/or pipes would effect performance and/or cooling so i didnt. As for the 7mil with a certain rod helping life, i think of how much run time and abuse grif's old 10mil serval had on it. It help up for an extremely long time. For me, that's good enough. For the hoses, i still like regular black hose from Napa. It's cheap and it's subtle.
  16. And we will still see others ask over and over until they hear "they dont need it enough times" to justify being cheap and hurting their engines :'(
  17. I went with them in my 521 serval. Builder said it's recommended for the side load regular gears have. I have stock ratio strait cuts. I'm not sure if it's needed. I just listened to a guy that does it for a living. No regrats.
  18. I'm the odd ball with a lockup and stock cover
  19. Are BBIF snipers just as loud as BBIF shearers? I've never heard any other BBIF's than my own.
  20. So his buddy put SLP's on his stock bike, it touched the frame, and you say they are designed for a 100% stock banshee. Then say people with modified bikes have to get creative. Engine position stays the same with bolt on's and many other mods. So it SHOULD clear the frame. With that said, i had to space my CPI's. I forgot if i had to space my BBIF shearers but i dont care for the fit anyways. It's no big deal.
  21. Get full catless 3". That was its deep and loud, yet tasteful.
