  1. So in other words someone else may do better work than someone else. Nothing wrong with that. I bought lots from FAST but hes never done my port work. Im ok with that.
  2. Another factor taken from forced induction cars/trucks(i run a 2.3 whipple in my truck) is you can run a smaller final ratio depending on how you make power. The longer you stay in the power band the quicker you can be. To a point.
  3. Thanks, that's exactly what i wanted to know. Carry on.
  4. Coming from the strong trail bike with an N-down 1-5 dunable(no 6th). Mine is set up to launch in 1st. I must brake my tires loose to help keep the front end down as i refuse to stretch my bike. I also have the option to set up my srockets so i can do the same in 2-5th but id loose a gear. I will see how much tq my 10ml ported serval makes once it's done and get it using 1-5th as i always did. Here's 1-5th.
  5. How's that extremely broad power band from a PV cheetah compare to a ported serval ? power delivery and power it makes On pump gas.
  6. They arent making any of that. Lets get back on topic
  7. choke tubes go on the inside
  8. For some reason i thought DMC pipes looked just like paul tuner pipes. Wow im far off on that one.
  9. any footage of this bike in action. free bump
  10. as they said, impact gun. same for putting it back on. Just dont go stupid with it putting it back on. a quick blast is all you need. The washer you bend over will keep it snug.
  11. Ported serval can do mid to high 90's on pump. That's what im doing.
  12. post like this are complete bullshit. You will see stuff like this. Some people wont catch the sarcasm. Anyways, the shop who ported it will best tell you what it should make on the dyno. A dyno is only a tuning tool. Dyno's vary and it's better where and how it makes power than the peak numbers it puts down. Polishing a banshee head doesnt do anything for power. Milling it to raise compression does. Mill it too much and you will need more octane to prevent detonation. Watch them spark plugs to make sure they dont back out. Depending on the port job, you may have been better off buying some serval cub cylinders and running them as is(as cast) and making better power. However, you could already could have an amazing set of ported jugs. We cant tell you that. Good luck.
  13. fixed. I say do a 10mil because you already have some TQ monster raptors. The only difference in a 10mil serval and 4mil serval is case trenching and the crank. And that's from Redline. I cant wait to order mine from them in a month or so
  14. bought something from tedder a month ago, good seller, good shipping. would do it again.
  15. the same way a lot of smaller motors beat bigger motors. Set up. it's not just all about who makes more peak power on the dyno.
  16. The ebay add has the option of as cast or ported serval jugs. Be careful who you let port the serval. So far, customers from Redline Racing only proved that redline racing is able to port a serval and not lose low end power. FAST does claim the same but the only chart a customer posted, they gained mostly top end and the power band came on later. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=160113
  17. Who ever you get to port it will best answer your questions. Going to a ported 4mil will be a big difference.
  18. He will probably be happy with a HJR port. Unless he lines up with another shops. I was happy with a flotek port for years.
  19. Rebuild it before firing it up again. It sucks splitting cases when a piston skirt shatters
  20. I think i tried some 12 paddle haulers on my 4 mill when i went to the dunes. Needless to say i didnt haves problems spinning. Never again.
  21. If it's just one gear, then it's internal. Everything on the outside of the trans(inside the clutch cover) just aids in shifting the bike or deals with the clutch. You need to split the cases. I know you dont want to hear that but oh well.
  22. ^Yes
  23. I thought heal guards were to prevent injury when slipping off the back of the peg by the heal, nerf bars protect in front and back of the foot peg.
  24. Off topic but I bought a drum of shell urt for my f150. Never again.
