  1. Wouldnt that be rider skill/bike set up won, not just the difference of a 4mm crank?
  2. Those look like Kenda Knarlys. I have a cut set of Knarlys. Work great in damp dirt. On hard stuff, it will spin all day unless you have some major power/wheel speed.
  3. Got some pics and/or video of that bike loco?
  4. If it's wide open trails, consider some pro wedge 2 tires. They grow on 2-3 inches once you get some good mph. They hook have but you can kiss goodbye to donuts and other stuff that needs that ass end to slide around
  5. If I didnt have a 4mil crank already, id do a 10 mil set up.
  6. dont you mean ftl in a drag race?
  7. So from the last couple pages, we learned that the size of the motor doesnt matter, power delivery(where it makes power), set up and rider determines the race. Also ported drag cylinder is better than a broad powerband in a strait line. I can live with that. Looking forward to getting a ported serval.
  8. It's not just for tight trails or even slow riding, i used to drag race the hell out of my 4mil play ported stock jugs. It didnt make near the power the serval did. I loved the power delivery and how smooth the power came on. It was an excellent combo built for fun paired with my dunable override and stock swing arm. We understand servals wont be high strung. It's a broad powder band cylinder, not some lame drag porting that sucks to ride. I've ridden a cub with shearers. Got that thing sucked except in a drag race. The cool thing about broad powerbands in a drag race is if you have to let off to get the front down or you short shift, it's easier for the motor to get into the power band again.
  9. Anyone have some good video of them playing around with their 4mil serval? if so please post.
  10. from the thread i made, redline racing is who you let do the porting. I think they make about 84hp.
  11. That's what im going with. It's gonna be a long road but 80-85 on pump is what i want. the hell with ported stock juggs on race gas making less.
  12. I did a high temp power coating on my yz250's pipe. ill be doing the same on my banshee. It's got CPI's in not so new shape and im not getting them chromed.
  13. I run a n-down 1-5 duneable. It's from a person on here's no name friend. Runs like a champ. I like trails, wheelies, donuts and drag racing for fun. It's been in the bike for over 3 years. There's nothing like an override once you ride one and get used to it. For those who drag race with one, i bet you would of lost a lot of races without one that you won. Once funds allow it, ill be getting some ported serval cub juggs from redline, then the trans will be refreshed and it's going back in. This thread has turned into a feed back mostly from company who does overrides, not how we enjoy them. From day one with the over ride, I let people ride my bike who arent used to a clutch or a bike. i tell them when you arent on the gas, you better be on the clutch or you are off the bike. The bike still shifted perfect till it got picked up for a blown top end. I would assume the pro stock mod makes it shift like a newer bike or like my 02 yz250. But there's nothing like an override.
  14. Ok thats good
  15. not bad at all. I run my truck i the 1320. Nothing like rowing gears down the track on some slicks! mine runs 11.4 on pump gas. I just drive it there and throw on some slicks.
  16. Mine ran great. If i had a question he was always there. Now i want more. I've decided to go serval. He even recommended that to me. There are better porters out there. There are worse. Good luck with your choice.
  17. what's your race car run in the 1/4?
  18. I had a 4mil ported stock job set up for a few years. Bike blew up earlier this year finally. Going with a serval cub with port work. I want to make more power on pump gas. Yes it's expensive.
  19. I read that many times too. But i have a dune able over ride. No worries here
  20. Then get an aftermarket cover....
  21. Vito's undercover. Been running mine for 3+ years on my 4mil till the day she died. Coolest part is no one knows you have it. I run extra weight and 3hd/3stock springs.
  22. Bike looks great. Props for doing suspension before engine mods like a lot do including myself.
  23. I hope you are joking sir
  24. You do unless you have a spacer plate i believe. I had my jugs ported for my 4mil long rod crank and also custom cut noss domes. That's as specific i can get since it's been about 3-4 years since i built it.
  25. Does ASV still auction off refurbished levers? I searched ebay and dont see any. Used to be able to get them for less than $40 a set if lucky.
