  1. one of the best drag pipes available. More suited for drag racing. if you want out of frames, you have a great set of pipes. With the proper port work(if you dont have any already) the engine really makes some great power.
  2. Yeah but you csn have your stock cylinders ported and achieve all your goals. Talked to the builder to better answer questions. Same goes for the trans
  3. May want to send your trans to be pro modded or whatever its called as well. Serval is a type of mmonoblck cylinders from CP. They offer a broad power band that isnt high strung like a cub. Redline ports them and they dont lose bottom end.
  4. I built my bike with the same goals in mind years ago. Traction was always my biggest issue. Pro wedge 2's, dune able override and practice solved that. It was a bit over kill tbough. Whoever ports your cylinders can recommend pipes, power delivery, domes etc. Just tell him how you ride and what you want out of it.
  5. what gearing and rear tire you going with griff?
  6. We cant tell you. The person porting it can.
  7. You dont need a shaved hhead.the guy who will port your jugs will best answer how milling the head for more compression will affect the power. Give him a call.
  8. You dont need biggers carbs and aNother set of filters on that engine. stock carbs and your current filter is fine.
  9. Why will it be hidden from the public?
  10. Plus its only a what..not even 500cc? Pfft
  11. i'm waiting for that curve on the dyno chart. Hope shee shows some nice broad curves from a low rpm.
  12. pick up gap on the stator(check with a feeler gauge) or float level may be the issue.
  13. Call up Futureal in Walker, LA. They build some nasty nasty chevy/gm LS cars. So i believe they should be able to help you. There's also some good shops that can send a good email tune for GM trucks though.
  14. but it could help future members who have this issue and use the search function.
  15. do you have anything drawn up for the new renditions. I need to see if i need to hold out. Looking at 2-3 months before i buy. It will be towards the end of my build.
  16. this may be the bumper i get. Besides I just with it stuck out a little move on the sides. My favorite thing about is there is no company logo or writing. Well done.
  17. depending on the port job on his 4mil, you may be able to send your cylinders to a good builder and push out more power. But power delivery is more important depending on how you ride. For example if you drag race only or do trails etc. Carefull adding power though. It's not always easy to get traction. Proper set up goes a LONG way in winning a race. That and the rider.
  18. ^ You have a side shot so I can see what type of head light housing you have?
  19. Two awesome bikes. Ty for the vid link
  20. IMO that's the only way. The clutch(instead of tires) has to slip off the line so it doesnt bog or you need more power not to bog. Since sand isnt a prepped surface like the asphalt racers see, i feel consistency with lockup tuning would be very hard to accomplish. Going to go off a limb here and say turbo 4 stroke raptors will dominate in the future of the drag scene. I been saying it for a couple years.
  21. OP, i have a set of pro armor nerf bars without heel guards. Id trade you. Shoot me a pm if interested.
  22. Near houma, looking for a semi stock clean raptor I have a yz250 for trade. Looking for $3500 obo cash. title in hand. http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff111/raguncajun/yz2508-25-131_zps33f2a6df.jpg
  23. Thanks, It's fun on nice days. Little loud on long trips though.
  24. I was just curious to see if any moisture was on the metal before it got PC's. I thought about doing a swing arm, pipes and a-arms raw but looks like i'll pass due to rust.
  25. 4 strokes also hook better in general. There was a big discussion on atvdragracers. Banshees spin off the line way more in general.
