  1. then put the money a side and enjoy the bike as is.
  2. Oh well. Good job. Any future plans for the banshee? You know these things kill your wallet.
  3. Cant really tell the winner. Camera needs to be at the finish line. Just curious why yall went from a roll. Dirtbike couldnt launch?
  4. It's hard to learn the balance point and train yourself to cover the brake. But it only takes practice.
  5. Cool drag race video. I'm checking out your other videos. if you need to put a foot back near the grab bar to wheel, use your shifting foot. You want to cover that rear brake in case you go too far back. You shouldnt really put your leg or foot back regardless. You can hurt your foot/leg bad if it loops.
  6. Save in case bottom or top end failure.
  7. email them to me ill put them on youtube. [email protected] As for mph, my yz250 does 70. Gets there way quicker than my old bolt on banshee ever did which did 72 with 14/41 and 19's Lemme look through my old videos and see what I have
  8. I know. i didnt feel i needed to make another thread. ill check out fireball thanks.
  9. bump. Need some +3+1 without heims so they dont squeak. Any recommendations?
  10. Can you guys post your inline water temp gauges installed and where you got them from? i have a temp gun but i want an inline gauge. Also remember you need your bike to be moving to cool it off. There's no fan like modern 4 stroke sport atv's. If for some reason i need mine to idle for a while like for syncing carbs, i get a shop blower or two blowing at the front grill.
  11. How's the evols compare to elka stage 3's?
  12. It's not the money issue. it's the point im not sure if i need that. I am coming off of stock shocks/a-arms. From what i been reading here(read tons of pages worth), elka stage 3 will be fine for what i do. The only reason i favor the fox's is because of their color which will match my bike.
  13. It's been said for the average guys, a stage 3 elka or some fox floats will do fine. No need to go to a higher option.
  14. I believe you won and i dont care why or how. I'm sure people can pick apart the video and say why you managed to beat a lighter equal hp bike. But i just want to see videos. i like drag racing videos. Post other races if you can too. Thanks.
  15. Misread my chart. thanks! Looks like there's a good number of 10mil servals out there.
  16. If the dirtbike hooks no. I have a terrible time getting traction on my yz250. My buddy's pipe no tune 13 yfz450 beats me usually or barely looses. So i should of worded my post differently. My mistake. I think the 250 dirtbikes make about 42hp stock. Piped banshee makes maybe 45ish if i remember. Dirtbike is lighter but has a little single tire in the back trying to hook. Rider skill/traction is crucial. Doesnt matter if you should of shouldnt of won. There's no such thing. You won and that's that. Good job sir. I also never raced on pavement. Just open fields.
  17. no. I own a yz250. I've owned a 01 yz125. I've had a bolt on and ported banshee at the same time as those. My yz250 shits on piped banshee's on knobbies. Once i did a 4mil,override and pro wedge 2's, i could 60' the hell out of my yz250. It's all about set up. The average person around here doesnt have raptors or 450's set up for a strait line therefor dirtbikes spank them. But that's the funny though about actually racing. Anything can happen. good kills.
  18. My mistake. i read his post then made my post. I didnt finish the thread yet. Now we need to see a super serval on gas. Any builders do those ported? edit* You also keep saying show me something 120 or over. Wouldnt it be better to have a better power curve over peak dyno numbes which you are referring too? I'm looking at my banshee engine size chart. That's a 14mil with a 68mm bore? Sounds like one hell of a broad TQ fun bike.
  19. Well how much a 10mil cheetah on gas and a 10mil super serval makes on gas? Id like to see a chart to see the curves too.
  20. pfffft a vette. I'ma fellow t56 truck owner as well welcome.
  21. Your logic is flawed. I lost a lot of cylinder life and a top end when my engine detonated like their was no tomorrow. I had 19 domes in my 4mil running 93 pump gas. It needed higher octane. Also dont understand mixing more octane on "big weekends". Then in post #23, saying 91 octane pump gas does fine without any issues. My guess is it wouldnt be burning as efficient with higher octane fuel therefor hurting performance.
  22. Is that a srt10 regular cab in the back?
  23. This forum tries to guide people with those questions all the time with good success when they listen. They do need to do research on their own too though to really make up their mind. I see most recommend your basic, vforce reeds, advancing the timing a little and proper tuning. Then usually if they have to go into the engine, they recommend a 4mil(especially if they feel the crank needs replacing or need welding) long rod and getting the cylinders ported for it by a good builder. It's good to get a pro mod trans too. I just got one but havent yet tested it out. I usually call up the builder of my choice then describe how i ride my bike, what fuel i want to use, what i want from the entire bike's set up then work something out we can agree on that makes me happy. About 5-6 years ago i went with a not so popular engine ported and even though it wasnt the most powerful engine, i had great customer service and a good running engine set up how i liked. This time i went else where because i wanted a set up he couldnt provide. No hard feelings there. I actually was able to narrow the builder i wanted via threads people already made here in the last year to year and a half. I wont name my builder from the past or present. My point is now who i chose, it's how i chose. Good luck.
  24. If we couldnt help in 2 years, what makes you think we know how to port an engine which is IMO far harder to achieve with good results and trouble shooting an engine. I personally always got help here on both my bikes. As rude as some people are here, they do help. That and other reasons is why im a supporting member here.
