strait 110 octane? or mix of 110 and 94?
fastrthnu replied to kodie's topic in General Banshee Discussion
94 is right near the border line for 160 and +4 timing. If I had a billet impeller, cool head, and engine ice, Id feel safe running 94 with it. you dont need to run 50/50 either, mix it to equate 98 and youll be good to go for sure w/o wasting so much go race juice. How many kicks does it take to start now with the carbs all primed and all? If its still 4 kicks on a fresh top you got somethig else wrong. esp with 160psi comp. -
so this banshee isnt even his? what a faggot!!!

I have a pair of used std stroke (513 wiseco) pistons Ill sell you for $25 shipped. they just need rings. They are 65.50mm.

hah, that trick would work on some of the tires I ve had to debead. Idda broke that lever 2x4 in half. I pull the valve stem and smash it between my trailer hitch and jack.

fastrthnu replied to misterww225's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I thnk hes talking about tracing the exhaust port onto the piston and cuting out part of the crown to manipulate early exhaust port timing. -

wanna know a lil secret,.... the banshee back in the mid 80`s was built by yamaha for a baja 1000 race prior to its release in mass production,... so I cant imagine why they wouldnt have put a bigger tire on it if it was a problem. In the woods in some places here there are giant chuncks of coral sticking out of the ground,.; I go around them. The DS650 is also engineered in more modern times which has enough torque to run a 22 or taller tire, made for baja racing come with a 20" tire on rear and 22" in front. In xc and gncc the common tire is 20" to clear stumps, logs, and rocks. go around them, or get bigger tires. bigger tires suck on sport quads unless your in really loose terrain.

Ill do it if they respond, but Im not going to jump through hoops to try from what Ive been finding out. I dont plan on losing either way if I do get in. As long as I can holeshot, it most likely be mine. If they say throw it, Ill be like oh ok and run that shit anyways.
-
oh, maybe
-
if they told me to drop the ball Id try to win anyways. Im not worried about getting paid. I guess Ill just forget about it.

I only scanned through this. timing plate doesn not eliminate woodruff key hot rods come trued and welded though the weld is just a spot good enough for a mild motor, the weld is on the pinthat holds the rod in the crank. there is a half c clip that holds the crank in yes the oil seals do make THE seal. are the orings in on the middle bearings? if so I dont thing they really matter. the stock bearing have a pin on them so the bearings dont rotate in the case,. I think the oring is for that bc there is no pin. IDK if you can see anything in this pic....... here you can see the c clip, and the weld, and seal seal other side.

If you live in a shady area,. sleeve anchor a few bolts into the ground and weld a plate with 1/2 chain link on it and chain your shit to the floor.

yea 28-30mm. the 28mm tm flatslide is an awesome carb. I have seen some d slide 30mm carbs on ebay brand new for cheap too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/30MM-D-slid...sQ5fAccessories I have some 30mm roundslide carbs for sale for $45 shipped, but they need a choke kit installed. The kit is $16 on ebay.

because my carbs are big, and set as is the, bowl sits in the way of my clutch lever. Second I wanted an offest in them the keep the carbs level. Air at high speed doesnt like to turn, the carb sits almost level and as soon as air comes in hits a reed cage and turns downward. A more gradual radius would look neat and maybe help. Im doing some expereimenting. I just typed the whole thing out, but deleted it, because fuck it. I dont want people taking my ideas. There is a reason I dont want a hard block of shit, I want to add shit in, form it, whatever Im doing, the billet spacers ARE NOT WHAT I WANT!!!!!!!! they are to much money, and if I mess it up, then I have to buy another pair and wait for them, pay shipping ect. I can cast 10 pairs at once for $15 worth of resin. Plus Ill be making them even wider 1"+ as long as my cables allow for it. For the guy in Oregon, im not really a tough guy, only on the internet, Im really a little vagina, ask anyone who knows me. Thank you for replying that like Im really going to go kick anyone retard. I think Im going to make a cast out of wax that I can reuse and try straight fiberglass resin, or 2 part somewhat rubbery epoxy,. or both and see which one works. Now anyone have tips on how to make a near perfect casting with wax. wax cos its easy to mold and nothing will stick to it.
