  3. well basically im going to check the entire thing before just replacing pistons and running it. and no there was no gear oil coming out of the exhaust......
  4. So I went out riding Sunday in a pit and had a blast first of all. Then out of no where my shee started to act up. it started to foul plugs in the right side heavy. I fig it was a shitty gas mix. But today i brought it to work and ripped it apart. Come to find out I completely destroyed my right piston....... Soooo now i need some new ones. My shee has been bored over so the piston size is 2.53 in. Dose anyone have any for sale, or have any suggestions for some good ones? i don't care price when it comes to the banshee......
  5. my 01 banshee is naked without the headlights!! im looking to get some stock headlights and a taillight from anyone who may have spares or is looking to get rid of old ones? its just not the same........ please help

  8. i live in Buxton down next to Scarborough and Portland.
  9. i would have to say 62 hours so far from the first time i changed it winter came pretty quick up here. and thanks for the imput on the plastic impeller.
  10. oh no man thats cool understandable any help is good help and your prob right....that shit is thick hahaha the whole thing just has me in a head spin im gonna rip it apart and see what i see maby the clutch is smoked but i do know i have never adj it and im pretty sure the prev owner never did either. so im hoping it will work. anybody know anything about the impeller on the water pump ticking???
  11. i wish it was that easy but im making the best out of it. very boring if u ask me but i have a banshee so its all aok hahaha
  12. only once in the past 5 months i have owned the shee. and yeah im pretty sure the bel ray is a good fluid to use and who ever said synthetic is bad if anything its better. anyway if there is something better out there to use maby i should use that.. also i have never adj the clutch only replaced the clutch cable thinking of course that might be the solution to the problem i was having. but still im having difficulties shifting from neutral into first. im thinking now after reading the service manual that the clutch has to be adj. so looks like im gonna have to take off the cover. and potential problems i may run into?? also are the impellers for the water pump plastic? mine seems to be broken or something it makes a hell of a clicking sound? in any case im giving one hell of a tune up to the shee this spring befor riding season...............
  13. so i got to thinking who in this little forum world is from maine? and of them ppl who wants to get out there and have a banshee ride on some ice??
  14. im using bel ray gear saver hypoid gear oil 80w-90. if anybody has any other suggestions on a better brand that would work. when i bought the shee i instantly changed the oil. but after the winter i wouldnt mind changing it again???
  15. yeah i live in maine so right now in this season it is extreemely hard to kick start i also have to warm up the case to kick it over also heat the spark plugs up? but the clutch issues were happening way before the snow or the cold weather actually had come.... so im pretty sure that the clutch has to be adj.
