  5. any one have any info on trinity racings modified shift cam is it worth the $130 bucks or is there some other stuff i could do to help the transmission shift a little better? thanks. Tom
  6. yes milling the factory head will raise compression. you really should do a compression test and check your squish before you do anything to the head though.
  7. ya man sand is the only way to do it :biggrin: ever since i started riding in the sand every where else is just not as fun anymore.
  8. i just got my cylinders back from kevin he has great customer service and his work looks really great. although i cant say how they run yet as i am in the middle of moving but i cant wiat to get the shee back togther.
  9. mine took like 2 1/2 - 3 weeks from the time i shipped them to kevin till the time i got them back im in az.
  10. i also just had my cylinders ported by kevin just a dune port but i can not comment as to how they run as i am in the process of moving but i can tell you that they look really good if that means anything..but as soon as i can get my bike back togther i will chime in on how they run.

  13. well elevation as of now is 5000 ft but in less than a month i will be moving to an elevation of around 800 ft... my cylinders are on their way back from herr jugs with a dune/hill shoot port and i have the timing advanced with an adjustable plate set at +4 but kevin says to bump it up to +6 when i get it back togther.
  14. ya that is an awesome price even the color i was gonna order but i was thinkin about runnin either 21 or 22 cc domes... i want to be able to run pump gas still?????? any thoughts on dome size daj?
  15. do any of you guys run the chariot performance head? i've been seeing them on egay and heard a couple of people talkin about them here i just got off the phone with kevin and my cylinders are on their way back after a dune port and he was tellin me i was gonna lose some of my compression so i decided its time to go ahead and get an aftermarket head, i really like the looks of the chariot head and the price :biggrin: and the one piece design, but the noss head is tried and true so which one do i go with?
  16. my buddies shee is a '98 still has the original top end in it he rides the hell out of it and we just checked his compression about a month ago it was still 115 psi in both cylinders. his engine has never been opened up. just throwing that out there not trying to defend the stock pistons just think its kinda amazing.

  21. those are the types of replies i was wanting to see. the main reason i wanted to see what it would do ported with the t6's was beacause of what your replies were dajogejr when every one else was replying to posts saying that people have to ditch t6's and go to t5's once ported you were saying just go for it and see what happens so i did... thanks for everyone's help here on the hq. :thumbsup:
  22. well guys i finially sent my cylinders out to kevin yesterday. i talked to him a few times on the phone before i sent them out and he seemed like a really good guy answered all my questions without hesitation and after all the good stuff i've heard about him i think i made the right choice. well hes gonna do a dune port to compliment the t6's i have i know every one says to run the t5's but i wanted try something different plus it'll give it kinda a sleeper look . any ways if i want something more aggressive later on i'll just rob the cylinders off of my wifes '06 and have 'em ported for a 4 mill and give her these... well i will keep you guys posted when the build gets finished to tell you how shee runs ported for t6's. .Tom

  24. my 04 uses the stock needle and my 06 has the toomey needle both set up exactly the same.
  25. start around a 330- 320 do the plug chops and see how they look. also mine likes the needle on the 3rd clip.
