come on guys a little input please...

ok guys i had a buddy givin me the torque specs after i split the cases on my bike well long story short the studs that run from the top half through the bottom he told me the torque was 25 lb ft when it was actually more like 18 lb ft he was reading the nm (nueton meters) and i was torqueing it and it stoppped going up at 23 and i barely felt it start to give and i stopped.. what do i do from here do i resplit the cases and use some aluminum heli coil or what i'm open to any suggestions that you have. thanks in advance. the cylinders have an aggressive dune port done by hjr, and my cylinders are already back from kevin so i was thinking about having the stock head shaved by a local shop? so would i need to rechamber the domes? and how much should i take off the head?

if i have my stock head shaved is it necessary to have the domes rechambered? if i do have it shaved how much should i go? sorry if this has been covered before. thanks in advance. Tom

dont worry even though only a few people will reply on here and say that they will be there, there will be so many damn people there it looks like a city at night out there. just make sure to be careful watch were you camp its very easy to get turned around out there and it could take a while to find your camp, the first time i took my buddy to gordons last thanksgiving he wanted to go to the vendors by himself i told him he should go with some people but he didnt want to wait.... well it took him like an hour and a half to find camp. so just go out there have fun and be safe.

i'll be at gordons for thanksgiving definately going to have fun the. some of the rules that they enforce are no riding doubles, dont speed near camps, drinking, helmets, and make sure you have your permits for your bike and truck, cant really think of anything right now but i'm sure you can find what you are looking for just do a search. domes let you net different ammounts of compression the smaller the dome the higher the compression the bigger the dome the lower the compression.

i have the razr 2's they are a good tire and hook up well but they are heavy only have 1 season on 'em so i dont know how they will hold up

is buying a aftermarket shift drum worth the money? alba has one that comes from yakkey for 150 bucks. is it worth the dough or should i spend the money somewhere else? i know im gonna do the shift star mod but i was just wondering if i should do the drum also? :shrug:

my buddy with an '06 dodge mega cab with just a programmer and put a exhaust cut out on it with a 6 in. lift with 37's ran 15 flat. another friend with a duramax '06 also has intake, exhaust,chipped ran 13.6 not sure of the mph on these trucks.

I am gonna have to call bullshit that you beat those bikes unless it was a 10 year old riding the bike. Those bikes fly man. ^^^^^ thats some funny shit the last time i was at the dunes i was racing this guy on a stroked rappy 700 dont remember what size it was but he was handing me my ass so after a few races i got off my bike and let my friends son shoot the hill a few times and one of the guys that was with the raptor was on a 450 yammi piped filtered etc. walked over and asked what i had done to my bike said just bolt ons pipes filters etc.. he started gettin mouthy sayin that he could smoke piped shees all day long with the 450 and that 2 strokes were out of date so he jumped on his bike and started to race my friends son who is 11 the first race the 450 won he came back and was like thats how you do it so i told him to line up with him again needless to say he lost the next 2 races he came back and was sayin he only won because he is so light so i jumped on and handed him his ass 4 times in a row.... he left after that with nothin to say. this remark just reminded me of a funny story.

ya im pretty sure that you can get them street legal here but you have to have license,registration, a horn, a lighted license plate holder and dot approved tires and a brake lights obviously. now i have never actually seen a street legal banshee but i have a cousin that is a cop i could ask him if you can actually strret legal a shee or not .some of my buddies have some thumpers that are legal though and ride them everwhere.

well i dont mean to hijack the thread but how do you guys feel abouth the standard bore wiesco's? i had my cylinders dune ported by herr jugs and ordered a set of standard bore wiesco's. will they be ok to run? i realize that i need to take measurements but herr jugs said that the bore and taper in the cylinders was good. oh and he also threw a fresh hone on the cylinders for me.
