  3. i'am gonna say what koolguyson would say.....My builder...no my builder...no mine! My advice is the pick the one that is closest to you. Your tuning ability will play a bigger role than the guy grinding on it

  7. my harbor freight comp tester was a pos...it was offf by like 20 pounds........get a nicer tester or ask a friend to let you barrow one.
  8. i would start by doing a compression test, just make sure you dont need race gas to run it[unless you know the answer to that]second make sure you mix gas properly, and buy quality oil[dont buy that walmart premix] whatever your riding style is the banshee will be the machine to own.......and post some pics of your new toy.........and have fun............welcome to the BHQ

  12. i cant remember exactly but ill give it a shot main.....330 needle stock...center clip...dont change needles pilot....28 and i would run it like that in glamis and victorville
  13. that is such a hard question to answer, [whos got the most hp on there banshee]if i had to guess i would say that 4cylinder monster yfzdunejumper has.......but hell how about if we brake that question into classes 350 stock cyl and on......for me is not about horse power but how fast you can get from the beginning of the hill to the end,as is to everyone else that drag races......am sure dyno numbers matter to people like matt shearer when his building/making designing his pipes.the only way dyno horse power would matter to me is, if a motor like mine[bore/stroke]would be putting out more horse power than mine being there both on the same dyno.....the only time i saw that busa run was at dummont like 4 or 5 years ago and that thing was pulling 93miles an hour[pretty fast bitch if you ask me].....it was running good that day, now does that translate to 450hp to 93 miles an hour?probably not..i've heard[not seen]of a dmx doing that at sand mountain..am sure the dmx didnt have 450 hp to the rear wheels.

  15. i put a new crank and new rods for the shift forks, the billet second gear was not broken but it did have very worn dogs so i replaced it with a stock gear.i have had my twister to the dunes 2 times aftyer replacing those parts and i have not had any problems i also change from pvl to stock ignition.however those 2 times that my bike saw the dunes i only made no more than 5 passes combine.so ill just wait and see if it will hold up...if not dave ill have to give you a call..thanks for the input
  16. is this going to be a 100 page worthless post?i was hoping to learn something here guess not,my expectations were to high. the problems that i have had with my motor are 1.ive broken 2 second gears on my tranny 1 regular and one robinson billet[worthless] 2.the nut on the clutch side holding the gear the turns the water impellar shakes loose no mater if i tighten the shit out of it or not, i have even put 2 new nuts with washers see if it works. 3.i broke a crank bearing from the stator side 4.i have broken fith gear also for some reason this thing shakes really hard and it also produces alot of torque so much torque that i have geared it 17/42 and it takes of like a bat out of hell with out reving the the crap out of it.am running 12 padlle haulers on it right now[hillshooting]but i thing there the wrong tires for it and that i would benifit from a more agresive tire without sacraficing top end.the fastest this twister has gone up any hill with a 240 pound rider[me]is 78.8 on my buddy tonys radar gun which in my mind is pretty fucking good,i think after having this motor for over a year am finally stating to get it to run with the fastest 10mils out here.the other thing is it loves shearer pipes over cpi the shearers pulled harder alltheway...cpi just did not feel right. hope this helps some of you that are looking for some info on the twister cylinders.[mine was drag ported by the way].
