  1. Thanks for the complements. The Plastic is also gonna be silver. The motor did not come apart. The motor has 3 seasons on her and the cylinder walls look fresh honed. She is one over. Bit of porting, timing mod, welded crank, toomy pipes and some carb work. I have to look at my paperwork on the shocks. Rear is stock but revalved, rebuilt for my wife. Fronts are aftermarket and new. I dont know what it is about this motor, but its just HAPPY!!! Runs great and stays with a lot of bikes that have a LOT more work done. I like that its just 91 with Castor 927. J-arms, well, I have ridden the piss out of this bike in the dunes, at 330 lbs, never had a problem. Its a duner, not a jumper, hill shooter, or track bike. Its for the dunes. If I aint gonna break it at 330 lbs, I wont at 195, thats what I am at now, and the wife is much less than me. I did look into it an go with longer "A" arms, but did not feel the need to. I am not doing it for the "bling factor", but more for the wife. She let me buy a buggy that I would only dream about, so she gets a "pretty" bike. LOL I cant wait to see it with the plastics and the pipes on it. All work in the past and now is by Glen from Atomic Motor works. He is out of his garage now and does this on the side. Embee Powder coating did the powder, ceramic, and clear work. The clear on the polish is not powder coat, but some other clear. Looks great.
  2. Not sure where I should post this, but it is a Banshee and this is a Banshee forum....... Wife's bike before........ Motor is in Its a deep metallic purple, lights making it look blue. The silver is a metallic silver. Hope to be done for the first trip out.
  3. I run Castor 927. I get no smoke when its warm, just when she is cold. I think your fine.
  4. Can I see pics of these front fenders? Wife wants hers cut but not all the way. Thanks in advance
  5. That was me who lost a set of arms. I got a new set on the way. I am gonna still PC them. The problem with mine was the PC messed up and all the parts where the wrong colors. The striping ruined them. One was still good. I saw them after the first PC, and the ball joints were ok. He also will hang them so the plastic (teflon/nylon or what ever) wont be able to come out. He is sure all will be ok. I will let you know and post pics when I get them back. Waiting on the arms and the bike is ready to put together.
  6. I have emailed thru his site, I have PMed him. I cannot find a phone number on his site. Anyone got a number to get ahold of him?
  7. I am trying to get the wifes bike ready for T-Day. I live in So Cal. Looking for front arms for stock 89. Please call me if you got a set. 714-231-5434
  8. I am restoring my wifes 89. Got new plastics. She wants them cut. I have showed a few pics to her and she has not seen any that she really likes. Please post up your cut plastics on your bike. Thanks.
  9. I just Jet Hot coated my wifes T5's. Only the outside tho, it gives it a polished alum look . I did not do the inside, so there should be no change. I will let you know what happens after I get it back together. First trip will be Thanksgiving.
  10. I had my arms powder coated. Anyone find anything to put back in the ball joints? A resen or plastic that can me melted and poured back in to the ball joint? Any other ideas?
  11. I am paying$250 for everything. Frame, swing arm, a arms, all the little pieces.
  12. I am redoing my wifes bike. Going with Metal flake purple frame and hubs, carriers and other small pieces. Metal flake silver for the swing arm, a/j arms and Meir silver plastic. I am gonna do something different with the pipes, hot jet coating.
  13. I know 2-strokes are very sensitive to backpressure on the exh. Wonder how the turbo effects this. Probally why its so hard to tune.
