  1. HAHA thats great!
  2. PEP are top brand ATV shocks. I see alot more guys running them on motocross bikes than anything around here. I put alot of time and research into them but went with Elkas and couldnt be more pleased. Ide look into getting them revalved and resprung before you go worrying about chrome but thats just me.
  3. Thats funny as hell trail riding on alky- oxymoron? I understand what your tyring to do and alky sure hauls and is good for open areas close to your fuel supply. I want a Rhino more than anything. Im done spending money competeing with these damn GNCC guys. Im serious this time
  4. Rite, to tap it with a drill you better already have the teqnique of useing a drill down and be damn good with a steady hand and a steady angel on it cause holding it at a wrong angel which is very easy to do will mess a whole bunch of shit up. That drill has to be perfectly straight in your hand and you better KNOW your not going to misjudge and that comes with alot of practice and being very carefull. I put in countless cabinets and doors, boxes, ect and I still wouldnt try it without the tap.
  5. No, sorry man like I said Im only intrested in Pro Circuts. Nothing Else. I just got a pair of PT Mids and Im going to switch out my TR6s for them and I figured since Pro Circuts dynoed with more Torque and HP and Backup Torque than the PT mids I would try them out in real world conditons and see which set of pipes I like better. Now that I need the money Im just going to switch to the PT Mids polish up my TR6s and sell them straight up. Possibly trade for an anti vibe steering stem and an adjustable steering stabilizer plus Ide give up some cash or trade straight up for a new or like new OS Radiator.
  6. Hey man, how close are you to Harrisville PA/ Grove City (close to George Junior?) The shop I go to (Buchanan Racing) has I Razr Maxxis Razr and Razr IIs 20-22in rears for 75 a piece for the Razr IIs and that includes taking your old tires off and putting the new tires on at no extra charge. Im going up this weekend and I need someone to ride with. Most everybody else are to chickenshit to ride in this weather or they gear up and ride snowmoes.
  7. more timing, a straight set of drag pipes like Shearer. T5s and CPIs work best for duning setups for drag setups you need a pipe that is going to rev far past any all around pipe. A Lockup clutch too. Override too if you have the money. Determin your gearing based on tire size and extra power with the pipes and timing. Damn I want a straight line Banshee they just arent practical where I ride.
  8. What year is it? Running it with no oil is like setting fire to it and 450 motors put a hurtin on your wallet for all new parts/labor. How do the cases look? I wouldnt pay over 1500-1800 for it.
  9. Congrats on your new purchase. I think you made the best decision. The 08 is the best of the yfz450s yet and they can be a killer fast bike for whatever you want to do. If you ever hit up an MX track you will be nailing everybody and if you build it up and get alot of protective atv gear you will kick ass on XC courses. Plus fast through the woods/tight trails. Such a nimble bike and its setup to be amazingly competitive rite out of the box. I think they are the best 4 stroke bike ever made (Ive yet to ride a KTM Can AM or KFX 450) with an almost 2 stroke powerband unlike the 400s and 700s. Dont get me wrong though I still prefer the 2 strokes over the new 4 pokes they just need more money spent on them to truley compete and I have all of the mods to compete. My next bike will more than likely be a built 250R unless I get a deal thats almost to good to be true on a 450 then Ide ride it for a season or two and trade it for a 250R.
  10. Thats awsome man. Congrats! Give them 450s hell, bump them, pass them on either side in the middle of the circle. 50,000 people deserve a good show my man. Yeah you can just switch out your rims backwards for more width.

    elkas on ebay

Yes they are the same shock just one has oil resivours and one (e36) doesnt. They both offer ZPS or SSD as Elka calls it same thing ride height adjustable.
  12. haha, its just a name that fits is all. We 2 stroke guys like to jag off people who switch to 4 pokes as you can see. The Raptor 700s are very reliable bikes. Of course you have to take care of them but they arent much mateinence at all. Grease, fresh oil/gas coolant ect.. The early Model 01s and some 02 660 Craptors have been notourious:) for having bad trannys though. I would stay away from any 01 660 for sure. 02- 03 and up are pretty solid bikes. Just a whole bunch of torque. Yamaha made the rite move by switching to the 700 for sure its a more stable more powerfull bike its all about what you can afford.
  13. I use Motorex 10w30 full synthetic for use on a wet clutch I check it after every 2 hours or so and change it when starts breaking down. I never let it get black thats bad shit. I use and trust the T.M. Designworks aluminum magnetic drain plug but you do have to be carefull putting it back in.
  14. hahahaha good stuff I gotta say,,,,,,
  15. Good points. I agree 100% with everything stated. Also that DVD step through idea would work great for alot of people on here. I would be more than happy to fork over some green for a copy.
  16. Why do you like the Pro Wedges better for snow? I figured the 4 snows would be the better choice because of the compound and the way they expand diffrently over the PW IIs. Ill definatly take your advice being a great rider from Canada and all.
  17. If your going to go with a Craptor and you have a choice get the 700 its a far better bike than the 660. The yfz450s are lighter and quicker/more nimble through the technical stuff than the raptor but the raptor has endless torque and its a comfy ride. Better for flat wide open stuff. The Rap SEs have the same front end as the yfz450s which is a plus. I Personaly would get the yfz450 over any 4 poke but I ride very aggresivly I like the tight stuff and rain cant soak what is not there!

    elkas on ebay

I used to sell them for 365.00-then I had to start doing 410.00 to BHQ members and I seen them on Ebay a few times for almost that cheap. You just need to find an Elka dealer who deals in volume and try and work out a better price. If not its still worth the 450 and you can always add Piggybacks later. Good Luck
  19. I still see alot of yfz480 National built motors and they haul,One guy up my place has a yfz500 national kit (I believe) with PEP PB1 shocks, baddest 4 poke Ive ever seen. I cant wait till it warms up so I can get to practice with this guys. There are so many 2 stroke builders who are as capable as Duncan with a lower price tag and better customer service it pointless to go to them just so you can say you had Duncan build your motor. Take Jim at Passion Racing has over 150 port maps for the Banshee motor. Thats no joke and he builds with the best of them.

    elkas on ebay

They are great shocks adjusted for you the same as Elka would adjust their top of the line Elite series shocks just no Piggyback rezzies or adjustments besides ride hieght on the standered E36s your looking at. However I think you could do a little better price wise if you shop around some.
  21. Ok I PMed you with pics and details. Anybody else that finds intrest let me see what you all have. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l137/Was...03/100_0193.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l137/Was...03/100_0190.jpg http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l137/Was...03/100_0189.jpg I dont have recent pics the pipes look alot better now after I cleaned them up with Mothers Chrome polish. If I see a good deal I will get the pipes themselves ASAP. First pic shows the flaw from riding pants. No biggie probably needs buffed and it should come out to chrome. Second pic the pipes start point looks rusty, well they are all polished now and they shine no more of that stuff left but shiney chrome. 3rd pic now after its been polished it shines no flaws at all. Like I said the pipes are just about as mint as a used set of pipes can be. I want equal value pipes in preformance and looks or mabey pipes plus cash. Let me see a few pics of what you got and mabey we can work something out.

  24. Im looking to trade my Chrome TR6s great overall shape no dings dents or anything like that, The chrome looks fantastic besides a flaw or two that could possibly be buffed out anyway for a Mint set of Pro Circut pipes. Im only Intrested in Pro Circuts Nothing else. I can post pics of them mounted if requested.
  25. I think it all depends on how you use the throttle with an agressive dune port. If your running Shearers WOT balls out all of the time then the 35mms would be suficant because the Banshee is an all topend powered bike at higher RPMs. Now if you are useing it as a play bike going over whoops sections, flying around bowls and starting at the bottom of a huge hill the 30mm-33s will give you the bottom end power that is more efficant for the type of dune rider you are and they will pull like a basterd all the way through giving you more consistant power wich is better useing the full pontial of your port/pipe/riding style. while 35s will not preform as well in controled throttle riding situations by not giving you the rite power that you should have to complment your momentum. Bigger does not always mean faster.
