  1. it all depends on how you ride but Ill tell ya its nice changing HI/LOW Comp when jumping after you just did a woods run in nasty shit. You can get a totaly diffrent feel for your bike with just a few clicks.
  2. Yeah I have the Elka elites front and back with the LT Elka linkage in the back and they are unbelieveble. There are so many adjustment options its crazy and I need that for how I ride. You might want to think of spending the extra coin for atleast comp adj.
  3. Im running them too and the adjustability is great. I have mine setup perfectly. Yes you use the old dustcaps. edit, pics will be up when I can find my damn camera. I think I left it up where I ride in my second home. Oh well Ill have some up by sunday at least.
  4. If your Father is a sheriff and he said it came out clean good for you. I would still try and get a bill of sale made to cover your ass and all of the money you put into it.
  5. I buy Motorex fully synthetic 10w30 and I fill the crank case with a bottel and a half. Thats 1.5 the manual calls for 1.6 Oh yeah Castor 927 for premix at 32:1
  6. Im about 1800ft above sea level and I have a 195 main and a 48 piolet needel on the third clip. Its running a little rich. Im thinking when it drops to 40s and 30s Ill bump up to a 210 main. What do you guys think?
  7. How are you landing these jumps? Front rear or on all 4s? The Banshee is a little top heavy in mis air so you could try pulling the bars up ever so slightly to start. Make sure your knees are bent, your ass is planted on the seat, and corect take offs are key.
  8. You might have an all topend port job and thats gonna get you around in the dunes and if you want a little more lowend/mid range get a Noss Head with smaller domes and a timing plate set at +4 if you want to stay on pump gas
  9. Yeah its really hard to find boots in my size though. Quad E size 12s are hard to come by.
  10. yeah, long thermal underware helps a shitload too. I usualy put on 1 pait of white sox and a pair of grey and orange thermals on my feet. Getting your feet wet is out of the question when its bitterly cold. I also have an old hunting suite but it doesnt fit anymore or untill I lose 20lbs.
  11. Well its about that time here. I have my 210 main jet ready to put in for the cold. I have nice riding gloves and a hoodie that will squese into my helmet when I put it on. I cant find boots in my size 12 quad E so I have my steel toes but I get alot of miss shifts with them. Most of the people I ride with think Im ccrazy for riding in the freezing cold and some of them have snow mobils and all sorts of warm gear. Let hear how you guys protect yourselves from cold nip out there in the lower temps.
  12. little pieces of spounge or fold paper towels into little squares. Tedious but isent that the way its suposto be.
  13. I bought my airbox 2:1 adapter straight from trinity. I think it was 60 bills. Also if the setup was bought with a K&N filter straight off the carb it will have a lip around the bell of the carb. You will have to grind that off to fit the airbox adapter.
  14. Hell yes Kev Glad to see theres guys out there still deticated to porting 2 strokes and making 4 strokes look like their balls fell out. All for a good price I hear.
  15. I get my Razr 2s for 70 bucks a pop now cheaper for fronts too I believe. Before I had the convience to shop rite where I ride Ide go to RMATV. They have competitive pricing free shipping over 100.00 too but they add that on with thier prices.
  16. absolutly great for the liver. Im proud of you Jason. I see you like the 101 as well. Whoever buys the 80 proof wild turkey are hippies!
  17. Yup, get the LSR Racing adj. set its worth the extra coin. I have them and I love them.
  18. My expirence with a -2.5 swingarm is it actualy hooked too hard but I am a big guy 300lbs and that had alot to do with it so Im back to stock. I would one day like to buy a used stock swingarm and cut it so its minus 1. Out of all of the guys that I talked too on here claim they love the -2 and a few true XC Racers and the XC guys said -2 is to short but they ride 4 pokes a bunch of them owned a Banshee at one point and probably never thought to go -2 is my guess.
  19. I ride trails too and race some so I saved up for the best and now I have my dream Banshee setup. I went with full chromoly (very important for any style a arm) and caster/camber adjustments Lonestar racing a arms then I saved saved and saved some more for front standerd travle Elka Elites High/LOW compresion and rebound I also got the rear Elka Elite Long Travel on Elkas LT Linkage and thats the best setup you can buy for your Banshee. The shocks and a arms are unbelievable as far as sucking up big ruts and big roots plus you can set it up for whatever style you want one setting for woods then you can use the suspensions adjustability to go for long jumps rough shit agressive to medium trail riding/competitive woods racing they are the best if you have the money. More money you have = the better setup you can get.
  20. as already stated in this thread Banshees are super reliable if you keep up on routine matinence, jetted properly, fresh mixed fuel, clean air filter, new trans/clutch oil regularly. If you can keep this up your topend will last for years.
  21. True Im happy with my Renthal Fatbars rite now Ide love to have the Flexxx bars. They really help with the up down up down motion of the Banshee and A steering stem and a GPR stabilizer will help drasticaly with the side to side motion where the rough choppy shit like to hog the bars while throwing your hands off the bars.
  22. Razr 2 might be to agressive and spin you rite into a rut on soft coal shit. Ive heard good things about Knarlys Mudsharks 21s" come in 21' as stated above and they are a 4 ply tire very strong for what they are and would probably suite you pretty well. If it aint broke dont fix it is a good idea too unless you really know what you want.
  23. How about the reason being they do throw more shit on you and this is comming from real world testing.
