Dump tube is what the main goes into. On some alky carbs they are drilled out b/c it takes so much alky, that even if you put in a huge main, it would be bigger than the dump tube. I'm not sure how to find it. On some carbs it is replaceable, on some it is not. I think it would be best if you got with the guy you got the carbs from and tried to get all the info from him. IF you've already listed these sorry, but Carb size, brand dump tube size, main size, pilot, needle, etc.

So can it be treated like a 100 octane fuel for bikes? I remember the discussion awhile back about mixing higher octane w/ lower octane, and the lower octane kind of "taking over" the detonation properties of the higher one. I don't remember if this is exactly true though...?

What is the real octane rating on E85, do they have a RON and MON?

13 or 14 front sprocket will help out your powerband issues.

Usually the mains and dump tubes are drilled for alky carbs as well, but who knows with these. Try getting a smaller pilot, or actually try finding out what the stock pilot is for those, then go from there.

um, maybe? i thought a powerjet was a powerjet, didnt know they made gas ones, not sure if they do. ok not important, you said they run ok, where in the powerband does it not run good?

Can you take a pic of the left carb laying the other way. It looks like the powerjets are backwards. And ur gonna have a hard tiem getting those to run on gas I'd bet. Most people don't try to de-tune an alky carb to run on gas. Are you wanting a set of stock carbs or some aftermarket ones or what?
