  1. Anytime, if you have questions on any of that the search should have quite a bit of info, just do a little diggin.
  2. Pods wont affect low-end, never heard of that affecting it. If you keep your compression around 150 you can run pump gas.
  3. Jeff told me (and others i ride with) to use type F ATF.
  4. Seeing no water I'd go for k&n pods. T-5's if you want porting down the road (or more top-end pull) Adjustable timing plate No boost bottle Coolhead or milled head.
  5. Well honestly, and Snop will most likely agree with this i think, unless you get some porting done, then a stock port with Shearers will not be much fun to ride. Granted you can gear a little different or run some small tires to help out at LS but I'm not sure how much pull it will have. Now with the dune port I had it made a pretty good play bike that I could drag race and beat most of the 4-strokes and some other banshees.
  6. Yes you're correct, I just didnt quite understand how you wrote it so figured I would try to clear it up for ya.
  7. And a note for the afore-mentioned. The trinity cylinders run great with the Shearers LOL. just an fyi
  8. ya you wasted alot of the school's $$ workin on your bike huh lol. actually you paid them already, so fuck it go for it. you not got the job when you go back to school?
  9. True, did you deck the top of the cylinder to make sure that wasnt ur problem? i've never seen a coolhead leak truthfully, that's weird
  10. lol, ya u would build ur own ha. well i got a pd shell i got thinkin id need it for a new motor but things changed so i dont need it. i got it pretty cheap and id make ya a good deal on it.
  11. ya, my buddy had some on a stock port bike, as long as your compression is really high it'll have some low-end. you got a coolhead yet?
  12. Should they not please you I shwant them, maybe trade some T-5's....excellent. As for the porting, not sure what it is, dono how to tell either, but i do think it is the Stage IV. I talk to him all day long at work so i'll try to remmeber to ask him. wtf u workin at again? (townwise)
  13. hence the cute little animal
  14. Is it the prodesign setup? Never had any troubles with mine. Might be the wrong size filter....
  15. Didn't notice you had a cub. Is it a stock stroke setup? Truthfully, w/ that much you might need a lockup to hold the power. I would think a lock-up would allow you to use easy springs and not have as hard a pull either, but I haven't tested this myself. But for that much power you'd probably need all 6HD springs. Keeping in mind that different brands of HD springs are different stiffnesses.
  16. Ok thanks David, I'll measure what I have and see what i get.
  17. Do a search for doing a plug chop on here, that'll tell you how to dial in the main jet, then work on the midrange.
  18. I had them on a 400ex. The rears worked great, but i hated the fronts, felt to me like they grabbed TOO much and just pulled the bike. Might be different on a mx track though.
  19. I think a piston kit is around 150-175 for everything, and depending on the shop, maybe 100 to bore both cylinders. I know that sounds high to some guys but around dallas thats about right. Jim at Passion also does a fairly cheap rebuild job, and he's a builder so u know he knows what he's doin...I'd recommend him. http://www.passionracingengines.com/Services.html
  20. A little off-topic, but could someone that knows they have a COMPLETELY STOCK head measure it, from say one of the flat parts where the bolt goes to the part that mates w/ the cylinder. I have a few stockers layin around and know some are milled but dono how much. P-man, if i can figure out which one is milled i'll give it to you if you just pay shipping, or meet u somewhere in DFW to give it to ya.
  21. I'd disagree, i had a dune port from Kevin Herr, with the T-5's it was a perfect dune bike. With the shearer's it wasn't bad, just had to work a little bit more to keep it on the pipe, but more than just pipes come into that equation: tires, gearing, rider weight, etc. What kinda porting you wantin Cole? I have a buddy that has some Trinity ported Cylinders for sale, pretty sure they're a drag port but he ran them with some FMF's and it was about even with my dune port and T-5's. He's sellin 'em fairly cheap too i think.
  22. Yep, i made a spreadsheet of doin a 4mil drag port vs. a 4mil cub. Roughly 5-600 more for the cub, but i found a hella deal on a complete motor. Just remember if you go cub ur gonna need diff. swinger, chain, bigger carbs, and on and on.
  23. mm hm and second from the top (blunt end) would make it richer. I'd say put in a bigger main and then start adjusting the needle from there.
  24. Then Shearers or CPI's are your pipe. Considering inframe of course. You could probably squeeze 33's into a stock intake, i mean this is oklahoma you can southern engineer it I'd bet. But I do know this, stock porting and Shearers, you will have 0 bottom-end.
