  9. DIBS! Can you get some pics of the scratches etc... Do you know if it's show chromed from Shearer or what? Are all the welds, etc. good? Sorry I'm just kinda picky, but this is a great price so i'll take dibs.
  10. It had alot of bling, some sweet nerf bars, shearers and said it ran on alcohol and made alot of power. All on a stock swinger :laugh:

    Let me re-phrase. You pull in the clutch at high rpm's and downshift and when you let the clutch out and it revs the motor up would this not be bad?
  15. You don't really tighten your studs to 20 ft/lbs do you? There is a reason there are studs there, cast aluminum doesn't exactly like to be torqued on.

    Wouldn't you still be backloading the transmission even if you pulled the clutch in before downshifting? Seems like it'd be alot of wear and tear. On another note I think a few Flat track/TT guys have used duneable overrides before with success, granted they probably aren't shifting quite as much but still.
  17. If the only mods you have are the ones listed doing 3 HD and 3 stock should be fine. Be careful about which HD springs you use as some are alot stiffer than others.

  19. I would recommend a lock-up too. Alot (most) people will tell you it will be hard to shift with a lockup and no override but I don't believe this because of my 1st hand experience. I have a 4mil cub and dune/drag it. Got a +6 arm, which is still great in the trails or sand with some v-paddles. It's almost a handful with the +6 in the sand and with 10 paddles but definitely rideable, and I can still hand out some losing cards on the strip.
  20. Compression will vary quite a bit with the porting too. With my HJR dune port I noticed compression was a bit lower with the size of domes I had compared to other bikes. I'd ask Kevin what his advice is since he's doin it.
  21. Top a-arm is probably bent. I got some like this and my bike sat all jacked up. Had to put it in a vice and bend it as close to the other side as possible. Bike still sits a little fubar'd though.
