  1. it sounds like your getting a little more pressure builtup then normal. Like said already the tube may drip a very small amount over time but as much as your talking about is either too much oil or you have a seal leaking and its pressureizing the tranny causing the oil to push out the vents. The correct amount for oil i want to say is 1.5 quarts. but i cant remember off the top of my head for certain.
  2. get some aluminum or billet polish to bring back the sexy sexy once the part starts to fade
  3. the hose from the rear of the motor and the clutch cover are nothing mor then tranny vent tubes. a very small amount of oil drip[ping is no big deal, how much are you talking about?
  4. no they are your regular Motion pro cables. I finally found someone that wasnt a cheap ass trying to get something for 10% of what it's worth
  5. you have either to much oil or there is too much pressure building in the motor. on the new lockup covers they eliminate the vent all together.

    Chrome a-arms

    already sold them, thanks though
  7. if it is plugged to the rear of the head on the top is should route from the radiator. there are no other lines that go to the head besides the lrage radiator hoses.
  8. stock is 7/8 all the way down, and fat bars are like 1 1/8 then taper down to 7/8 and one other size that i cant remember... Edit: well it looks like they beat me to it
  9. and your 100% sure this is oil and its coming out of that little rear rubber hose? No oil goes there. That hose is a radiator hose.
  10. it depends on what bars you have. i had some bars that where 7/8 and i have seen others that where tapered.
  11. you could try it. at that point i would just by some off ebay that are used. they dont cost a whole lot http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?f...&category0=
  12. you should be able to push that sleeve out with evrything in it. It might be locked in there becasue of rust and grim over the years. try some pb blaster. or get a bolt and put a washer on it that will fit to the inside of the moton and put it all into a vise and turn it in. they dont slide very easy even when they are brand new
  13. that hose your talking about goes to the radiator. there shouldnt be any oil coming from there. what kind of head are you running?
  14. the only tube that could leak oil up near the head would be the vent tubes that attach to the clutch cover and the rear of the cases. They go to a "T" fitting and then are routed over the top of the motor for what ever reason. If you are getting oil from something else you have a blown gaskets or something. Where exactly is this oil coming from?
  15. you have air in the lines, just bleed the brakes and make sure your brake fluid is topped off
  16. keep in mind i am at work so i dont have a mount in front of me, but i dont recall having another washer on the lower mounts. I can see and feel the rubber on both sides of the the mount?

  18. are your forks ok? The 8plate should make any differance in how its shifting. I have bopth of what your talking about and mine shifted fine, but i now went with a duneable over ride ad lockup. With the Hinson 8 plate you cant really rely on the arrows to adjust the clutch. What I do is take the adjuster and turn it out far enough so the pressure plate sits on the fibers. start turning the screw in until you feel it hit the ball/rod, then turn it back out 1/4 turn ad tighten everything down. My arrows are no where near lined up after putting in the 8 plate
  19. nope this is false. The hubs slide right on and right off.
  20. rebuild your shift shaft. The pins on the star are exactly the same thing as before the modded star. They only smooth the tops off the star to make it turn easier. Nothing is done to the pins http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=132
  21. he means the next project that Mark has in regaurds to his "another interest"
  22. if you have the proper tools a steady hand, and an understanding on what your doing, i would say go for it, But keep in mind there is alot more to it then just making big smooth holes.
  23. becarful mixing it with other oils. SuperTechniplate will not mix with petrolium based oils
