  1. it was Jim that said that. Either he is smoking some bad shit or the guys motor he did was running it super rich. There are TONS of guys that run that oil and have zero issues with it. It's the most commn oil for guys running alky.
  2. you have two "C" clips. one clip goes on each side of the crank. You dont need to have two clips on ech bearing race. Just one "C" clip per side
  3. you didnt put two on one side did you? you only put one half on each side.
  4. really no need to change. Supertecniplate is great oil, mixes well with gas or alky
  5. you want to make sure you put the clip in there. it will keep the crank from pulling out of place from the side load... Some bearings dont use them becasue of an oring, if you are not running a bearing like that use the clip

  10. the fact that you got me a killer deal makes no differance in how they are made though is kinda my point. Even if I had bought them at full price this wouldn't have insured that they didnt have the same problems. The tires came mounted on the rims. The bolt kit was fr from half the cost, but thats a totally differant issue. So I am a perfectionist? And? I pay top dollar for just about everything I buy, and I do it for a reason, the quality and finish. I have gotten a few things latley for "discount" and it helped me to remember why they are "discounted" I have learned quite a bit about Boss recently, Not sure if you know about the same stuff or not but I will keep that off line for now until it has become the right time.
  11. the third was the tire situation... thats the one i said you already knew... the tube didnt just "shift" during shipping. i didnt just "move" to install the axle. the tube was damn near locked in place. I have had 2 other carriers as well and both of them the tube would move by pushing it by hand. this was not the case by any means. I put a wooden pry bar in there and it still didnt budge. I finally got one end close enogh that i was able to slide the axle on it, then using a rubber mallet hit the carrier down on the axle to force the tube in place. Dave I am not a fool to think that this is in anyway going to sway your ideas of his products, but the simple fact of the matter is his products cost the same amount as other brands (not buying through your hookup of course) and they are not by any means held to the same degree of standards to inspect them and insure they are done properly. Only one of the problems would have been a weekend stopper, but you shouldnt have to worry about little stuff when you buy a products either... Ya I understand you cant catch everything, but three issues with only buying three items from them?
  12. it's like those fund raiser car washes. your not going to get your car washed for nothing, but it's up to you on how much you want to give them
  13. Regina non-orings
  14. the one issue you already know about, the wheels didnt get debured and when they installed the valve stems they had cuts that allowed them to leak. the carrier has the tube inside, it wouldnt move to allow the axle to install. I had to pry the thing out of the way so i could put the axle on backwards so it would force the tube into place and then install the axle as it should have been
  15. I have had three problems (two with one item) with three of the products I got from them. They need better quality control.
  16. yes, run 2 quarts
  17. weekend of sept 20-21
  18. just buy the fmf pink packing. its very ez to use. you want to wrap the packing around the perferated core nice and tight, but not so tight that it cant absorb the gases. get some half inch masking tape wrap it nice and spaced out. keep it tight to the core as well. then slide the core with new packing back inside the cover and screw it back together
  19. there is no benifit of 4 bolts. one of thwo things will occur with 4 bolts. you will get one on each side tighter then the other so in actuallyity only one if pinched down holding the carrier. or dependig on how the swinger s biult the metal can get bent slightly inwards and make the carrier harder to slide out. Two bolts with locknuts is more then enough
