  1. same thing.... gear oil and tranny oil are differant names same thing... ATF is different but will serve the same purpose.
  2. when the motor is turned upside down tranny can leak out of the vent hoses...
  3. no the stuffers replace the inner stuffer...
  4. this is new to me... please expalin... when you advance your gaining bottom end at the sacrifice of top... so how would it gain both? your times might be faster yes but gain power in both? i dont think so...
  5. well if he is focusing on mid range he isnt going to open it up alot... your looking at 5-8 lbs give or take.... nothing too dramatic
  6. if i recall theres only 2... but its been over a year scence the last time i rebuilt my motor... and im not about to go down stairs to the garage to refferance the clymers... if you got tree groove then im sure you can figure it out

  8. yea and how long ago was this? the guys a doushe now... he said that he is going to charge people that call his shop to talk to him 2 bucks a min... fuk that guy, good motors or not hes not the only guy that can do it. we pay his bills and hes going to be a dick? balls to that...ill be willing to loose the 3 hp and go somewhere else...
  9. unless your going for a full drag port your only going to drop a few lbs... the more metal the more lbs... what kind of port you looking at getting?

  11. it doesnt matter what side its on... you only use one per groove... its to keep them from shifting... front or back makes no differance... just try and put them where they top top and bottom of the cases...
  12. plugs being wet casue your running it rich... what jets you running in it? also you need to get a sync tool and got those babies synced together...
  13. when you port it ... your compression should drop a couple of lbs... 3 or 4 maybe, depends how agressive th porting is

  15. you should have two clips... one goes on the clutch side crank one goes on the tranny... put it so it sits one each half of the cases...

  17. all four you said... plus clutch , swinger, and most importantly suspension... your motor wont do shit for you if you cant hold the power to the ground..
  18. eric gorr is a big name builder in the dirtbike world,he kinda went away when everything went to 4 pokes.. word is now he is coming back to 2 strokes again... he does awsome work but the guys is a total asshole... i said that he is going to start charging people 2 dollars a min to call and talk to him on the phone... ill never send him a part for the fact that he is an irrogant basterd but non-theless he knows how to build a motor
  19. your mains shold be around 310-320 at sea level with stock carbs... so once you get her back up you need to do a plug chop and make sure your not running it lean...go up on your pilot.. and what clip is your needle on and what needle is it?also how many turns are on your air screw? running tors?
  20. is it not reving as long in each gear like your shifting sooner or is it not reving as long in the highest gear you normaly run it in.. like your running out of power to pull that gear?
  21. id say a 21x10x8 10 paddle hauler for dune/drag....should keep your wheel spin up but still have the paddle to handle the motor......
  22. iv never heard of them just falling off... pretty much only time they would come of is hitting something... no marks on your timing plate or anywhere else?
  23. the guys a dick but you might try eric gorr... i heard they are opening back up...
  24. also with most electronic if they get wet... as long as you do short them out by running them... they can dry out and be fine... your cdi is covered your stator is covered, your coil is pretty much covered. so at the most you go very minimal water on something... id say you got problem else where and it just so happens that its after being outside in the rain...
