  3. humm, ok so this doesnt make sense. you tested the power from the stator and its good. then you tested the power from the cdi and nothing. you put that same cdi on your bike and it runs?
  4. once you get past 1/4 throttle the PV is wide open anyways so then it becomes pointless. thats if the pv where not welded. Either way you look at it the motor was intended as a drag motor and guys have just tuned around it to use it in differant applications. Trinity pipes on that motor is stupid. If your going to build a duner why bother with a 421 . just stroke a set of stock jugs and get a nice port job. less chance to kill your self in the dunes and still will haul some ass up the hills
  5. well one of those probly isnt as good as you think it is, those are the most common issues when it start sputtering.
  6. i thought you said you put the cdi on your bike and it ran? or was it your cdi on his bike and it ran?
  7. jetting? carbs clean? fuel lines clean? pickup gap? has he moved the cdi close to the coil?
  8. what about your plugs? on the bike that doesnt run... you replace them? how much of a gap does the pickup have on it?
  9. Running ATF is all personal preforance. You will see that many guys that run override transmittions run ATF. The good thing about it is that it is pretty cheap and you can get it at any auto shop. You can also run tranny oil. I ran Gearsaver 80w for ever but i am switching to AFT now that i went to an override. there are a ton of differant oils just do a little research and decided which is for u

  12. this way wouldnt work any how because the hole that the oil goes through to gte inside the case is much saller then that oring. like these guys said just take off the cover and reuse the fluid.
  13. the bike is setup for duning but the motor is setup for drag... someone didnt do much research before building... he has 8 paddle haulers on 10 inch rims, trinity pipes and a 421 Cheetah
  14. i emailed craftsman to see if they would warranty the parts and maybe remak them like they should have been made in the first place but they gave me a number to call and talk to someone about it, i cant ever get ahold of anyone thought...
  15. lonestar but your paying more for the name. Quicksand, but when he did my swinger i had to send it back to have the chroming redone casue it sucked at first. i run Ricky Stators but not long travel.. theres a ton of them out there.. just go with a quality brand and they are all about the same.

  17. i can not beleive these thing have not sold at 475 shipped! these pieps are over 500 bucks new and they have been rechromed to replace the garbage that matt puts on them. someone grab these things while you can!!!! better yet jer, trade me new stock ones and i pay differance lol

  19. yes a 421 is a small bore. you can get big bore and small bore inframes, so make sure you buy the right ones.
  20. you should be able to ride both locations with the same jetting. just keep an eye on your plugs your first few mins to determine if you need to change your jetting
  21. i got the set from sears, the only problem with it is the threaded part does not have a head to grab it with and tighten it down. you have to use chanel locks and they fuk the thing up

  24. whats wrong with them is that he has a drag style motor with trinity pipes. thats the same thing as putting T-5's on it.
  25. there is a printing place we use for our command. when we have students come thorgh they can buy new shirts and hoodies and all that. the prices are way better then the cafe crap. they want almost 20 bone for a shirt, we get ours for like 10. let me know if you want more info lee i can gather it up for you.
