  1. you can get the hi pressure hose from lowes. it works fine, but like justin said it will get soft.
  2. your ring gap depends on what type of pistons your running and what size bore you have. its normally anywhere from .010 - .015
  3. i wouldnt run it. a arms and swingers failing in 5th gear pinned = bad day
  4. Magnesium is actually one of the best conductors and disapators of heat, the down side is the cost. to defeat this manufactures use aluminum becasue you can increas the surface area while maintianing the same cool properties. same thing with copper. most of your highend computer coolers are made of copper, but look at the cost of these. now multiply that to a car sized rad and its not cost effective. by simply increasing the surface area and using aluminum you can achieve the same cooling at a margin of the cost.
  5. like already said the stock rad has plenty of surface area to do the job. unless your riding in a valley with little to no air flow and the temps are HOT it will cool just fine. your hill climb or track pinned in third will generate more heat over the course of the day yes, but not enough that a properly working stock cooling system can not handle. (minus the impeller and an actual coolant)
  6. well theres two types of bore small bore and big. the big bore will work on a small bore motor you will just lose compression. if you have some calipers messure then inside diameter and post how big it is, this will determine if its BB or SB
  7. iv got a +2 modquad stem on mine, makes night and day differance. i need to find a +15 for my wifes yfz450, those damn things sit so low its retarded
  8. 89bansheemx, you need to do some research about the cubs, they are a topend motor. you would probly be much more happy with a differant setup if your not doing mostly drag racing. start digging up the old posts. there has been a million conversations about this already that will give you all the info you could ever want to know. once you understand a little more then you will be able to make the right choice on your motor
  9. you cant kick it too much. your motor will only build the maximum amount of pressure then stop. it wont matter how many times you kick it after that. once its at its max thats as far as it will go, so you need to tell that snap-on guy he needs to learn wtf he is talking about.
  10. are you asking if 66mm bore is small bore or big bore?
  11. at 150 psi, i start mixing race with premium. some guy will go higher but i feel more comfortable running the race gas. its cheap insurance and peace of mind knowing my motor isnt going to break down.
  12. your comp has many factors. its hard to give u any numbers not knowing if they are ported and or how much, plus temps altitude and other factors will make a differance ... aa far as running race gas or not it would all come down to getting it together and doing a compression test. we could guss all day long but the only way to know for sure is to check it. edit: the nossmachines site has the chart your talking about go to the bottom Link
  13. porting will give you the most power overall. with it your going to want carbs intake and pipes to get the max power out of it. dont assume you want a duneport until you talk with who ever is going to do it. depending on your riding type they might have a better option. but your heading in the right direction. keep searching on here for other options, its been covered 100's of times.
  14. spending 300-400 on a new rad is a waste of money, if your motor is over heating with a stock rad you have an issue that needs to be fixed. the stock rad has more then enough surface area to effectivly cool the motor. the only time it might be worth doing is your riding in HOT areas down in low valleys where there isnt much air flow. other then that engine ice or water wetter and a stock rad with a billet impelle is all that is needed.
  15. i cheetah is a good motor, the port timing are towards the topend side however the presents of the power vavles will bring back that lowend your missing. a good cheetah setup will be very nice. but beware your not going to be able to just toss the motor in there and run it. your going to need ALOT more harewear to include swinger, clutch, pipes, suspension, carbs, reeds, ect ect. and those dont take normal banshee heads or reeds. do more research before you jump in so you know what your getting your self into
  16. like i already said, send the guy a message and he will send you any pict you want. this was posted on PS and he sent picts for those that wanted.
  17. go for it man! you dont get anywhere in life by sitting on your ass playing it safe! yea you can get hurt , break your back whats ever, but the same thing can happen to you walking to the gas station to get ice cream. life was ment to be lived not to be sheltered. if you got the balls to do it, go for it!
  18. any standard delron bushing will fit, quicksnad dosent have a special size
  19. if that is including getting a new sub frame from chromoly then yes that is a very good price. if its juts cutting the tabs then no do it your self in like 2 hours with a angle grinder
