  1. with 1k theres no way he is getting a stroker, but you and i both know as soon as you start adding power then comes the addiction. it wont stop at the reeds timing plate and milled head. then what. he will drop more into going faster but will more then likely go slower because it didn't start at ground zero with the suspension.
  2. disagree. suspension first, THEN power. you can have the biggest baddest motor out there if your setup cant hold the power to the ground your not going to win regardless. get some Wicked A Arms off ebay. and get some used shocks. dont buy a longer swinger until you need it. there is no need to push the ass end out without the added motor. although the very first thing you should change is your pipes, this will make a night and day difference, but before you go dropping money into alot of power you need a good stable suspension
  3. i dont understand the reason guys put the 450 shocks on. imo they are garbage just like banshee shocks. get your self some works or elka recs. i prefer works cause elkas your paying more for the name
  4. lol i love it when guys have military issued gear they trade! that black bag will make you catch on fire it works so well. the trick is you have to get naked inside them becasue they work off your body heat.

  7. just tighten it down nice and tight and bend the washer. it doesnt have to be mega tight.
  8. are you talking about the lock nut on the axle or the 6 nuts/bolts that hold the sproket? the book calls for the axle locknut to be like 88 lbs and the 6 nuts to be 44lbs. i dont torque either of them just tighten it down and bend ther tabs if u have them. they wont come off as long as you get them nice a snug
  9. i dont torque any bolts besides the cyliders and head bolts. everything else i jts tighten it down snug

  21. its not the length you ave to worry about, its the shocks hitting the tabs. you have to mod the shock by cutting out some of the material. try doing a search, there was an artical on how to do it a ways back. id rather just buy some used shocks, the 450s are not that good if u ask me. better then banshee stockers yes, but not worth the money
  22. the paper ones are cheap. and like said it will help keep your squish in check. now there are times that you need a thicker base gasket becasue your squish is too tight, but worry about that when the time comes.
  23. WCR, Redline, A&S all have great overrides. Talk with Dajogejr, his buddy cuts a badass override too at much less then these other guys.
  24. it just measn that you will have a static advance of 4 degrees, so add 4 to any point of the curve from the dyna. you will have a lil more bottom end on each curve. but it wont hurt anything as long as your motor doesnt begin to detonate
