  1. iv never done the 450 arms before, but you can get an idea by making sure your wheels are straight and messure the distance from the eye on the stem to the eye on the spindle. this will give you an idea of how long you will need
  2. seeing some of those videos at walden i can forsee you guys having problems with a duneable. the only way you wouldnt is if he doesnt let off the gas suddenly. It will be tuff because there is alot of slipping the clutch to get up some of those tight hills that s a few times on the way up.
  3. in the future the search botton needs to be your friend, you can find just about any info you need by using it. It will also help you dodge some of the bullshit you will catch by asking "the questions"
  4. i would tend to disagree. there are plenty of dune bikes that pull alot of power that need to run lockups. this makes shifting a pain. And because of it beng a pain the duneable is the remedy for it.
  5. are you talking about the delron bushings that go in the a arms where they bolt to the frame? if so i got a bag of like 12 of them. they are the standard size one. i bought them a long time ago and never changed them out
  6. is one for a mukuni and one for keihen?
  7. just pull the clutch at the top or shift and it will be fine. not sure how your riding habits are but normally when i hit the top i let off the gas and pull the clutch to down shift.
  8. like kiel said just run the manufactures jets. wether its kiehn or mukuni carbs. also i dont think that you need hangers for toomeys but dont quote me on it
  9. nology... and hot wires... call FAST
  10. no you can trail them you just dont want to go balls out on a long stretch getting your RPMS at 13k and then let off the gas without pulling the clutch. I'm not sure what kind of trails you ride, but where i grew up the trails where not very long so they didn't allow you to get your RPMs very high.
  11. yea im having the same problem. i cant think of a good color combo with my new plastics, so i went yesterday and got some blue fabrice that matches as close as possible to my frame and just had them do the whole seat one color. im affraid its going to look shitty though with all the colors on my plastics.
  12. as long as you dont let them backload they will last. i remember reading something from WCR about they are safe to backload upto 8,000 RPM but i wouldnt chance it if its possible to get around it. just like anything else, when you cut metal you run the chance of weaking its integrity, but thats a risk most are willing to take. at this point these guys cutting them have the bugs figured out. if for any reason yours goes out its almost certain its not because the guys cut it wrong. ( this is assuming you get one from an experianced place)
  13. yes it will wrk fine. like said they only cut the little bridge between the two tubes. just use a nice new gasket and it should seal up fine
  14. iv put well over 10-12k into my bike over the course of two rebuilds. now that isnt subracting all the parts that where sold and swapped out for something differant either. plus im including the price that i paid for the bike as well
  15. i just sent them back to Yarnell and had them taken to 14.5
  16. for the price that cocksucker charges you shouldnt have to find anyone your self it should be done right the first time.
  17. good looking bike for 1800 bucks!!
  18. well i got a Quicksand +6 swinger, when i first got it the chrome was the absolute worst i have ever seen. so i sent it back and gary had to get it redone. well now iv got my bike 90% back together and the fuking chrome is flaking off on one spot and the thing hasnt even been used. i dont think he is in business but if this scum bag comes back, dont fuking spend your money with this guy! i spent TOP dollar to buy his swinger and i got shit!
  19. thats the whole reason i went with the bolt kit. i wanted the allen head because its much harder to strip them out unlike the weak screws and bolts that come on there
