Thats looks like its fine. But get a case saver. The big aluminum one, they are 35 new, and cheaper used. I use a dremel with a cutting disk to cut the case straight and then a sanding disk and it will look nice, not broken. Its a neat trick.

99 frame for sale $200 pick up only
IROOST1 replied to broke's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I can give you 100 cash and pick it up this week if it has a clear title with it. -
Its also about 40 degrees out. So what main should i use and what clip should my needle be at?

If he is a car dealer, just call the secretary of state or threaten to do so. Once they get up in his business and investigate, he will be screwed. Same with the shipping company, they are all regulated so with one complaint, it puts a mark on there shippers rating. I had to do that once and the guy was really pissed because its there reputation on the line.

99 frame for sale $200 pick up only

Does it have a title? Are any bolts stripped out? -
I just finished doing my first banshee build and took it for a spin. It idles great and has bottom but nothing on the mid or top. Its an 01 motor, fresh with .020 wisecos, stock head, stock porting, stock reeds, stock carbs with tors removed, bills pipes and silencers, pro-flow intake adapter with k/n filter, airbox lid is on. Please help. I live in illinois and dont ever ride in high elevation. I dont know what main is in there, it should be stock. What main should i use? Do I need to change other jets or no since it has idle and bottom? I have gas leaking out the one overflow, i have cleaned it 3 times and checked it over, should i just replace the float needle? Any help is appreciated.

Is it called a mity vac. I have the one that hooks on the resivoir but it for a car so it wont work. I guess i have to go to harbor frieght and see if they have the vaccum one.

I work for an auto parts wholesaler and want to know if anyone has ever tried looking for tie rod ends from a car that would fit a banshee. I dont feel like paying that much for banshee tie rods ends when i can get automotive ones dirt cheap.
-
That clear would look sweet and for that price, you can change it every couple rides. I personally run goodyear 3/4 inch heater hose from autozone. .99 /ft

How come you cant powdercoat stock a arms. If you take the boots off, it should be fine. Its all steel??? Just tape off the ball joints so they dont get coated.
-
I did rebuild the master so that isnt it, and i have tried two other masters, with the same problem. I guess i will drill an extra brake cap i have and put presure to it to see if that works.
-
still working on the 99 w/01 motor. the brakes are being a pain to bleed. And dupage yamaha ordered a black master link instead of a gold one, but they say friday it will be here. What a bunch of retards working there.
-
OK, I have tried everything to get these brakes to bleed. My front brake just wont build pressure. I have tried using a longer screw on the lever. The master is rebuilt. I have done everything i can think of. I dont have any air coming out of the bleeders. Just fluid. There is just no pressure building at all. What could be wrong. I have tried clamping the rubber lines to see where its not pressurizing and that doesnt work. If i clamp the rubber line just off the master, it doesnt pressurize. Does anyone know if this is right. When i pull the lever in, the fluid in the master goes up, then when i let go of the lever, it goes back down????????? What the hell should i do? I have another set of brakes and stainless lines, but i dont really want to use them on this shee.
-
Mine just needs the front brakes bled and the master link from dupage honda to get in. Should be done this weekend. I will work on it tommorow and let ya know.
-
Thats nice, what did that run you. I was thinking of powdercoating but my oven and blast cabinet are not big enough to fit it in. I will be selling the one so i need to do it cheaper. But the one i can go all out on.

I have two frames i want to paint, one i want yamaha electric blue and one gloss black. What is the best paint to use? How do i mix it? What preparation do i need to do?
-
Ill probably just list it for sale once its all done and if it doesnt sell, i will just keep it. The manufacturers are killing two strokes so its value may go up.
-
Ive done that, no luck

I will have a 99 done in about a week or two, im waiting to put the plastic back on, and figure out what wheels to use, and have a gold oring master link ordered. its got an 01 motor thats completely fresh. Im in carol stream if you want to come check it out. it starts in 2 kicks and sounds perfect. PM me with your email if you want pics.
-
Yeah, they are on the right sides and the bleeders point up. I guess the screw thing should work.
-
Might as well just keep it or strip it. Not worth selling.
-
I dont have fluid coming out anywhere it shouldnt. The fluid i do get comes out the caliper bleeder screws. And I have all the air out, it just will not build pressure. I will try that longer screw thing. Isnt there a screw right on the brake lever? Or do i need longer than that?

I am going to have to sell my banshee in less than a month. I just totally rebuilt it with fresh paint on the frame, everything was cleaned real good and re-lubed. Frame is 99 with title. The motor is a 2001 with a new crank thats welded, jugs .020 over by eric gorr, wisecos. Bills pipes, proflow w/kandn. Tors removed. Douglas Red labels. DG Alum nerfs. Still deciding which tires to sell it with. New pads all around. Red Plastics and new seat. I almost have it done, just waiting to get new gold master link and put plastics back on. Im located in il, what should i ask for it? I cant get pic to load so i give up.

Ok, i know there are a ton of posts about this but i just cant get the damn brakes to work. I am building a banshee from the ground up and have not been able to get them to work. I have done tons of brakes before and never had a problem. I have switched out 3 different masters, the current one, i rebuilt with brand new piston, seals, and spring. I have fluid coming out of the calipers with no air bubbles but it comes out slow. And i have pumped, and tinkered with the bleeders for hours. Nothing works. It will not build up pressure. WTF ::
