  1. they might be stuck to the springs. i would just force them out. the threads are only on the side closest to you. you might need a tiny screwdriver to get the springs out once the screws are out. i have some like new screws and springs if you need them. let me know how it goes.

  3. Used PJ 34 mm carbs. Ready to bolt on. Perfectly cleaned. New hoses. Cables included(not the best of shape but usable). These are are very clean. The specs are 152 mains, 58 pilots, 60 slide, GH needle on the 3rd clip. For use with gas. The intake id is 34.5mm, the intake od is 41mm, the airbox side is 58 od. The serial # on the carbs are 67RA1MF. Everything is in perfect working order. The one choke is stiffer than the other. But both are fully functional. These carbs i was going to use on my banshee but decided i want some 30mm or 28mm pwk's. I will trade these for those if anyone has them.
  4. I had the problem of i ran out of room. I bought one of those plastics sheds that snap together. They are fairly cheap. i got my two at a close out place for 180 each. they are 6x4.5 and fit the shee perfect. that could work for you.

    need some pwk 30's so they will fit in stock manifolds. Maybe 32's. i have a pair of 34 pjs to trade in very nice condition. otherwise ill need to sell the pjs first. let me know what ya got and how much.
  8. I read the article and it said the earliest release would be 08 but they are still playing with motors. They said it will be "trick, tricker, or the trickest". I think the power would be awesome with a 500cc twin. Especially with a wild cam. Ah, but it wont be the same not mixing gas. And the smell...............

  10. Here is a really neat trick. Take the banshee front master off and throw it in the garbage. Then buy yourself and front master off a yfz 450 and install that one. For some reason, the banshee masters dont like being bled. Even if you rebuild it. I had the same problem, i tried everything, had 3 banshee masters. Nothing. So i got a yfz 450 master for 20 bucks on ebay. Didnt even bleed it, just put it on, filled with fluid, and hard a a rock brakes.

    I need a working choke assembly. Mine wont stay out. I can get one from yamaha for about 30 bucks but i just want to see if anyone knows how to rebuild them or has a good one cheap.
  12. i pulled the carbs apart and cleaned the shit out of them and triple checked everything. Found a air leak in the manifold. One of the bolts i must not have tightened all the way. Fired right up then. Could have been way worse if i didnt find that.

  14. I have only started my 01 banshee 4 or 5 times since i rebuilt it last september. It started first kick once i rebuilt it. Then it got cold out and i had to rejet. The last time i rode it around, it ran pretty good. But the last 3 times i tried to start it, nothin. Now its like 50 out so i went to try and start it. Nothing. If i spray some starting fluid, it will start but once the starting fluid is burned off, it dies. I installed a new coil. didnt help. I have had the carbs off 5 times this winter to rejet and dont feel like doing anything with the carbs again. I have spark, new plugs, gas is about 1.5 months old. New intakes, compression was last done at 10 degrees out and had 120psi in each. I might go out and clean the carbs in a little while. But i just dont understand why its being such a pain in the ass. My jetting is 290 mains, tors removed, idle screws set, 30 pilot, stock air jets, middle clip. mods are bills pipes, k&n with outerwear, boost bottle, lid off, stock head, stock port. Also, my choke doesnt like to stay pulled out, could i have an air leak at the plunger.
  15. why sand it if all he wants to do is get the vin #'s. just goo gone it. then they will be PERFECTLY visible. as long as some dillhole didnt sand them away, or if its a replacement frame from yamaha, then it wont have any.
  16. i dont want any brighter lights, just new ones. the lights i am looking at are meant to mount to grille guards on trucks. But its the same size light. I need new ones because the frame i am using had the original headlight mounts cut off.
  17. DONT SAND IT, get yourself some goof-off and some paper towels and start rubbing away. Its on the left side near the pegs in the middle of the metal bar.

  19. I am looking for some better lights and all i can find is 55 watt halogens. I know the stockers run at 35 watts, so if i put 35 watt halogen bulbs in the new lights, will they work good? and can the halogens take the beating?

  23. i had the same problem with my ol 87, even the shock bolts would not come out. You will end up beating the hell out of em. Just get some punches and a big ass hammer, a case of beer, and a whole day of your time.
