I used the chain a few times before I put new sprockets on, but now I have new front and rear and it still stretched. The chain sat up for a while and got a little rust on it so I soaked in oil for 24 hours before installing it on the new sprockets. My swingarm and axle bearings are good. Before I took off I tightened the axle nuts as much as I could. I was practically standing on the wrench.

It is a cheaper chain but I've ridden on it a couple times before. And even my old chain. I'd ride a day, tighten, ride a day, tighten, ride a day, take out a link, ride a day, ride a day... eventually the chain was stretched so bad you could pull it away from the rear sprocket. Is the Banshee just too powerful to keep a damn chain on? What kinda chain should I get?

This issue has plagued me since I got the thing. I tighten up the chain properly and after a few minutes of riding it's loose again. I had the chain tight and last night I went for a ride around the neighborhood. When I got back, sure enough, the chain had loosened up on me. The two chain adjustment bolts are at the same position so I don't know what the hell is going on. I have the rear chain slider and the bottom roller, but am missing the top roller and the swingarm roller. I just don't know what is causing my chain to stretch so bad. My last chain stretched so bad I had to take a link out.

I should have enough money to order some arms next week. In my other post it was stated that there are better arms for the money than ASR. Anyone have any suggestions? I'm working with limited funds so the $400 tag is right around my price range. I want +2/+1.

Are the ASR a-arms any good? Also, do I need longer brake lines for +2/+1?

I ran out of gas riding gravel roads around 65 miles if I remember correctly. That was varied throttle.

A friend of mine got an extended axle last week and bent it trying to clear a triple last weekend. I'm not sure what kind he got though. Anyway, the way I see it is if Tusk gives a good warranty with it who cares if it bends? As long as it is a rare thing. When I get another axle that'll probably be the one I get.

Why are you running the snorkel with the airbox vented? Do a WOT test. I'd say those mains are a pretty good starting point.

If you drill a hole and mount the gauge like in the photos it will vibrate some but not bad. I can always tell what temp I'm at within about 5 degrees.

That's the way I see it. I've been walking around with a bruised heel for a week and a half.

I would say rings. Might as well rebuild both sides if you're doing it though. Unless you sucked in some really bad crap that day I don't think that would cause it not to idle. Maybe you knocked the choke tube or something else loose.

Is there anyone you can send a swingarm to do it for you? I don't have a welder and I don't trust my skills enough.

You've already got the expensive part out of the way with the head, go ahead and get smaller domes and bump the compression up to about 150psi. Porting would probably be your next big thing. I heard Eric Gorr does a good job. About $200 I believe.

I hope they don't suck too bad... I just ordered them. I just can't afford anything else.

Well that's what I wanted to know. ARC it is. BTW, my shoe size is 12 and I wear XL shirt and 36" pants... just in case anyone is selling.

No offense guys but which boots are the best isn't even in question. I need to decide between those two. I'm broke and I'm trying to get one of the package deals so those boots are my only real options. So the ATV soles suck? If I get ARC I need to stick with regular soles? Which are better, Ocelot or ARC?

Chapparel offers a couple nice combos with either the Ocelot SX2 or PDB boots. Rocky Mountain has several package deals with A.R.C. boots. They also have a new ATV sole which has cleats. Anyone have opinions on either? These will be my first boots. I know I don't want laces, but other than that I'm not sure what to look for. Thanks.

My sprocket hub has some slop on the axle. I've been hearing my chain skipping and upon replacing the chain it hasn't been so bad but I still heard it from time to time. Could it be the splines in the sprocket hub instead? If so which are probably striped? The hub or axle... or both?

Someone at work sent it to me. I dunno where he found it.

Good luck with the kickstarter. Rebuilding only helps for a couple rides. Holyman has a fix for it that everyone seems happy with. Welcome to the Banshee experience!
