Those sound like the nerfs I got. I got them used on Ebay. They were a bitch to get on. Since they aren't connected at the front they are kinda flimsy. I'd say if you landed in the nets on a jump they'd probably bend or break. I'm pretty dissapointed with them.

I've used Primary Drive and Sunstar. The Sunstar seemed to last longer, but new they should both have the same effect. I had a big problem with my chain skipping so I got a new rear sprocket. The chain kept skipping so I changed the front sprocket. It still skipped. Turns out the chain had stretched so much it wasn't lining up right with the teeth. You may want to look at it.

Yeah, if I decide not to get it I'll post it. I was just basing the carb on what someone told me. He's a die-hard Honda fan though.

I may have another option. I might be able to get a Cannondale Blaze with extras including a steering stabilizer, beadlocks, Ohlins shocks, HMF pipe, steering stem for $3500. The motor is blown but the price includes a crate motor.

Last Saturday was my first race... arenacross. First practice went fairly well although I was going a little slower than everyone else. The whoops on this track were like nothing I've ever seen. The first couple were kinda short, but then after that they jacked way up. Well on the first lap of the second practice I figured I'd see how fast I could get through there. I jumped the first two or three and my rear tires clipped one of the peaks. The quad donkey-kicks in the air, then the front end catches the next peak. That sent me straight over the bars with my bike tumbling after. I rolled a couple times then I remember thinking "the Banshee is after me". BOOM! It flipped and landed right side up with the rear axle on my helmet. I didn't think I was all that hurt, I just couldn't do anything to get the quad off of me. Someone ran down from the stands and tossed it off of me. Now there's a huge bruise on my leg and big gash in my helmet from the sprocket. Anyway, I went on to get third in the heat race and pull third out of ten in both motos. I thought I did pretty good since I was injured, missed a practice, and it was my first race. My stock bars were bent to hell after the wreck. I could barely ride it off the track. I was lucky a shop was setup at the track so I got a set of Pro Tapers. A friend of mine also wrecked on the whoops and broke 3 bones in his back. A kid on a dirtbike lost control going through them and shot over the berm into a wall. Whoops suck! Anyway, lesson learned. I'll always wear a helmet now.

A friend of mine was telling me shipping shouldn't be over $200. Think there's anything to that? I guess I'll have to call him tomorrow and find out.

I found a YFZ for sale about 11 hours from here for $4500. If I can get financing I think I may get it. It's a dealership selling it and he said they let a guy use it for a month for racing, but everything is in great shape. I was actually calling about another bike, but he said it was sold then he mentioned this one. What do you guys think?

I'm looking for front and back, but just the back would do for now. Thanks.

I'm thinking about getting one, but can't really decide which is better. From what I understand here are the pros: YFZ450 electric start more power 450R better handling seperate oil for crank & tranny smoother carb I'm looking to get one used and I've found a couple in my price range at cycletrader.com. I'll be riding everything from trails to MX to gravel roads to sand pits.

PM me a price on the rear plastic and rear caliper if you have one. Thanks.

Isn't a YFZ450 only about $500 more MSRP than the Banshee? The 450 is a better option for everything you mentioned except for dragging. Drag racing is really the only place a Banshee excels. Like others said I wouldn't even consider the Blaster and it depends on what you do more. You'll lose drags with the 400, but probably be a little faster in the woods and MX. A Banshee can be good at anything, but setting it up for MX requires major $.

How do you replace the sparkplug caps and wires? I feel bad for asking, but I just don't know. The plugs just don't seem to fit snug in the caps and I'm thinking it might be causing some misfiring.
-
Are the gas caps interchangeable? I was looking at getting an aluminum one.
-
If I can use stock steering components I'll probably go with the 5.5. I guess I better keep an eye on Ebay.
-
Where'd you get it?

I'm sick of running out of gas and constantly filling up. I want a bigger tank. What are my options? Is there a 4 gallon tank or are they all 5+ gallons? Also, where would be the cheapest place to order? Will I have to get a riser for my bars? I don't mind cutting my plastic if need be.

The blue is identical from what I've seen.

I went by a local shop and tried on some Fox Tracker boots today and they seemed to fit pretty good. They'll have the Thor T-30 boots in my size in on Tuesday so I'm going to go back and try those on too, then make a decision. Are the Oneal Elements boots as good as either of these other ones? I may have to get the Thor or Fox because my first race is coming up next Saturday and I'd really like to have some by then.
-
You can only run +2 in MX? Well, I was only wanting to go +2 anyway so it would fit in my trailer, but that clenches it.

I just got my Oneal jersey and pants and the ARC boots. The boots look good but are uber stiff and the buckles kinda suck. I've moved the adjustments as tight as they will go and it's still kinda loose, although the foot area feels good. Once you move the buckle adjustments as tight as they go, they loosen themselves right back up when you buckle them. I tried tightening them after they were buckled and that worked for one boot but not the other. It clicks when I walk as it loosens and tightens. I guess I get what I pay for. I may have to return them. Are the Oneal boots any good? I have to return the pants anyway. I was thinking 36" was referring to the length, not waist. Are all pants the same length? Even the different sizes? Those things only went down to my ankles.
-
Are they any better than the Quicksand? Only differences I see are that Quicksand has gussetts and heim joints instead of ball. Wicked comes with a lifetime warranty but it says structural, so I guess if I bend one that doesn't count right?

I have an '87 Warrior frame. PM me.
-
Are you offering to sell those, or you saw them on Ebay? I couldn't find them if they're on Ebay. Is there anything in particular that makes one a-arm better than another? The cheaper ASR comes with DOM steel(?) with the one that is closer to $500 having chromolly. What's the difference?

Does it actually work? Does it apply as much force as a impact wrench? Think it would work with the flywheel nut?
