stop thinking like a typical american. you are not the center of the world. america, as great as it is, has only a part of the worlds populus.

why should we let them believe? its just wrong. one day in the distant future when most religions are crumbling from lack of funding a man will rise up and crush them. most people would call this man the antichrist. a man that shows the world what it could never see. a man that forces everyone to see the truth.when the world is united under one government, one curency, and no religion, it would be a grand place to live. i wish i could be alive at that time but i know its too early for that to happen. religion is too strong right now. too many believers to let it happen. time will slow religion, as it has been doing. the precent of people in the world who believe in a god are growing less and less as the world ages. the writers of the bible knew this would eventually happen, and they wrote about it in revelations. only they twisted the truth to make it sound like this time would be the end of the world. in reality its the end of the world for religion, and the begenning of a new, free world for man. how did they know it would happen? because it is the same story with everything that goes on in the world. every great empire eventually falls. its impossible to ignore.

ever sence i was a little kid and my parents forced me to go to church with them i awalys saw the inconsistencys in religion. espically in the catholic church. why do catholics need $5000 alters and gold candle holders to worship? that money would be better spent helping people with disabilitys or terminally ill. i dont agree with any religion, however the way i see it is if you are going to worship, it does not need to be in some grand cathedral. it could be in the basement of a building, or a city park, etc. why do so many religions have elaborate espen$ive ornaments and buildings when none of that is needed? it never made sence to me. to me god seems like a tool created by man to force control over the masses. its like a prison for youre mind. the money spent on churches woould be better spent elsewhere. last year i went to visit my grandmother who has alzheimers and she requested i go to church with her. she couldnt remember that i was very much against all forms of religion because of her alzheimers. so i thought, it cant hurt and i took her to church. sitting there for that hour and a half, listening to some guy who i dont know trying to tell me how to live my life and telling me about fake gods and magical things (no one walks on water, thats just stupid to believe) it all seemed to silly to me. why believe in anything you cant see, touch, smell, taste or know? in the entire existance of man there has never been proof that there is a god. all there is proof of is some tribesmen who wrote some books. i was glad when the hour and a half long church session was over. i am a man of science and i tend to lump all the religions of the world together with things like dragons, giants, elves, aliens, etc. back in the dark ages people really did believe in things like giants, god, dragons, etc. as the world has aged and technology has shown more and more of these mythological caracters are indeed fake, the better off the world has become. i wish i could be alive when the day comes that all forms of religion is deemed false and fake. the world will be a better place without it. imagine a world free of religion, free of guilt, poverty, opression, crusades, free of vadinci code type books. it sounds great to me. i dont need some god to tell me how to live my life. i know what is right and what is wrong. i would rather die than be forced to worship some god. the idea of worshipping something which does not exist sickens me. to think of how many people over the years have been douped into believing in this great hoax. all the witches who were burned at the stake, people executed, etc. its just sick tat religion is still allowed to keep going and all those who believe turn a blind eye to religions past and close there eyes to its probable future.

yeah the chain rollers can be really loud.

on a 100% stock banshee the top speed is between 75-85 depending on how much tyre pressure you have. the banshee in its stock form is top speed limited by its gearing. to put it very simply, you need a bigger front sprocket. better tyres would also be a big help, as knobbies have a very high rolling resistance on tarmac. not to mention running knobbies on tarmac is just dangerous. how do i know? i went on a top speed run down the interstate with a friend trailing along in his saab 900 se. he matched my speeds during the run, and told me the top speed is 75-85. if you run the stock tyres at 15-20lbs of air, you get 85mph top speed. run them at 4.5lbs and you get 75 mph top speed. i was able to top out 6th quite quickly. this means to me that i need a bigger front sprocket. also a better place to test besides the interstate.

i wouldnt ever be cought running one of those things.

2 stroke reading material/books?
csrmel replied to Fireroad Express's topic in General Banshee Discussion
subscribe to macdizzy.com for a year. its probably the most in depth technical 2 stroke consortium of information i have ever seen. -
can you remove these cushons from an oem clutch, and how involved would this process be?

I am looking for a K&N intake like this
csrmel replied to sweetquads's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
how can you get much nicer than carbon fibre? you want a titanium intake manifold? i guess i dont understand. why not spend money on functional cheap parts instead of bling? bling doesnt make you go faster. -
hey its not a banshee but i have this riding lawnmower that i changed the pulleys on so it does about 25mph. i also cut the fenders off and removed the mower deck. using a combo of the throttle and the single foot petal which does the brake and clutch, i can wheelie across my front yard. i really get that fucker back on the balance point. its pretty easy because the seat has a 6 inch back support so i dont have problems with holding on. when i do go too far back i just jump of and let it go. it usually just flips over on its side and smokes untill i get back over to it and flip it upright. i suck at wheelies on the banshee. the nature of a 2 cycle means its hard to keep blipping the throttle and not tip over backwayrd because of the 2 cycle pipes hitting so hard. and the banshee has so much weight on the front, you almost have to stand it straight up to get to the neutral balance point. also banshee doesnt have a back support built into the seat like a riding lawnmower does.

Head shaved .080" Octane? Compression?
csrmel replied to 80overShee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
like it was already said, it depends on the squish. i bet you could shave a head 80 thou and recut the squish enough to have LESS compression than a stock head. so it really depends man. one way of checking things out is to measure the volume of the head. grab a piece of 12x12 inch plexi from home depot and use an old headgasket as a template to drill head stud holes in the plexi. next drill 2 small holes in the middle of the plexi right in the middle of the stud holes. now smear a small ammount of grease on the plexi and bolt it up to the head and also dont forget to install a sparkplug of the proper heat range, as different heat range spark plugs effect compression. colder plugs slightly reduce volume. probably best to use a stock heat range plug. now flip the head upside down and using a MEASURED ammount of water, oil anytying really., add fluid to the hole in the plexi which will slowly fill the head up. do this untill each combustion chamber is full and measure exactly how many cc's you used to fill it up. this will tell you how much they cut away from the squish and should give you a reasonable idea of what to expect from the altered head. remember to measure EACH combustion chamber as some shops could be sloppy and not do both exactly the same. -
got a 92 blazer with the 4.3 engine. my best guess on the mileage is 120. the odometer broke a couple years ago so i have no way of knowing actual mileage, but before it broke it had about 90K on it. runs good but leaks a little oil out the valve covers which makes it smoke once in a while when the oil hits the exhaust. the air works, heat works, shocks reciently replaced. the body has a bit o rust here and there.the paint is faded etc. its about what you expect for an early 90's blazer. i just put new brakes on it 50 miles ago and had a chance to give the underside a good once over. as fas as i know it was still on the original brakes. transmission also leaks a little atf. some of the suspension parts need replacing, im talking balljoints, etc. a few suspension parts are worn a bit to the point where theres a little slop in the steering. its not bad but they definitly need replacing. the blazer has 2wd, 4wd high, and 4wd low. i dont have any pics online but if you are really interested i could take some for ya. im thinking $2000 would motivate me to sell it. otherwise, i keep it for a backup vehicle. the blazer hasnt been abused. actually i have never engaged the 4wd in years, only went i bought it to test it out. never need taken offroad, never used for towing, and awalys had regular engine and transmission oil changes. adult owned and never borrowed to anyone. im located in palm beach, florida.i dont know where you live but if we make a deal and you want to come get the blazer i could pick you up from the airport and bring ya over to settle the deal. you could even stay overnight if you like. no big deal. then drive the blazer home (where ever that is). its a good runner and should make it across the usa no problems.

post in the wanted setion, someone will probably send you some extra springs for the cost of shipping.

im hearing really good things about youre porting services, mainly the cheap prices which i like alot. this presents a dilemma for me though, as i had planned on NOT getting any porting done untill my top end is due for a rebuild. sence i just bought my quad brand new a few months ago, this could be time frame of atleast a few years. youre porting is so low cost and i have only heard good things about it, i am considering tearing my perfectly good stock top end apart and sending you my cylinders for porting. do you think i would be able to squeek by just honing the cylinders and re ringing it without installing new pistons?

get used parts off ebay. its alot cheaper and most of the time used parts are just as good as new parts. the only difference is that new parts havent been installed and used yet. i do this all the time for most things, not just banshee but hell even used car parts and all kinda things. hell i just bought a set of nearly mint but used chrome toomey t5's with a hush kit a few days ago for $320 plus $40 shipping off ebay, used. thats like half off what toomey wants for new pipes.

ok heres some REAL WORLD facts. many a porsche and corvette (and i would be supprised if other makers did not do this too) run each brand spakin new engine at wide open throttle on a dyno to make sure the engine is putting out its rated power before selling it to a customer in a car. i motomans instructions were really bad, why do these high end cars get the same treatment.

looking for used nerfs which do not require the removal of the stock steel and black plastic heel guards. let me know what you have, prices, etc.

just to clarify, did you pull the rear shock off and adjust the spring already yes?

i would like to buy a stock head so that i can take it to a machine shop and mill it 25 thou. if you have one that you would like to part with cheaply i would consider any reasonable price. also if you have a stock head thats already been milled 25 thou (or around thereabouts) i would consider that as well. head must be in good condition, no cracks, broken rings sticking out from exploded pistons, etc. i also need to see pictures of the exact head you would be shipping to me before i buy it. i will only buy from a reputable sellers so if you are new to bhq or do not have some form of positive feedback (like ebay or paypal feedback) please do not respond. thanks.

i dont race quads but i do race cars and i personally enjoy a trophy more than cash. (although a nice gift certificate along with a trophy is nice too) a trophy can be put next to the big screen tele in the living room and makes a great conversation piece, espically if you have an 8x12 picture taken of you and youre machine on the day you won the race and put the picture next to the trophy. if you are not financially stable enough that you NEED money after a win to make it to the next race or for gas money to get home then you are probably living beyond youre means and should abandon racing and forus on getting youre finances in order. personally i would rather be financially stable and NOT race than awalys race and live broke.

keep in mind that amlost everything for a banshee can be bought used or new , so no matter what condition its in, you CAN get replacment parts for it. i have heard that there is enough aftermarket for a banshee that you could assemble a banshee out of nothing but aftermarket parts. with that in mind, if youre going to do a frame up restoration, go for a bike that is in disarray, maybe one which doesnt run, or has moderate damage. most parts are pretty cheap, relatively speaking, so the more damaged the inital banshee is, the lower inital cost it will be for you. just dont go too overboard and pick one up thats been run over by a bulldozer or something silly like that.

i use motomans break in secrets. http://mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm

imo, main reason for tors removal is to lessen the pressure needed on the thumb throttle. otherwise, tors is actually a good idea and would help prevent you from blowing up a motor if one of youre carbs sticks. tors doesnt weigh much, maybe 1lb, 2 at most.

many oem's use nikasil including porsche, bmw motorcycles etc. if there was the slightest problem with nikasil and warming up you can bet that no oem's would be using it at all for fear of warranty problems.
