  1. Heat up the screws with a mini torch if you gotta adjust them. The loctite will melt and the aluminum will expand and help release them.
  2. I have converted quite a few sleds with no issues, and will be doing my banshee this winter. I use a regulator/ rectifier from a company in wisconsin though. Ricky claimed his rectifier dumped the 200w stator down to 130w on the conversion. The rectifier I use on the sleds has no measurable loss.
  3. It looked good, worked well and held up to me beating on it for 3 weekends.
  4. Sounds like too big of a jet now then.
  5. Junior, I have been racing and tuning Banshees since you were eating glue in the 5th grade. Put this in your pipe and smoke it! The cgk is gonna be too lean to start with, I would at least start with a dek, eej, or eek needle. clip in 4th position down from the top. Pilot size #50 is a good place to start. 1.5 turns out on a/f screw also. I would put a 190 main at least in it. I have a stock motor with bumped compression, pipe, and 35mm pwk and run a 188 main jet. Make sure the float level on the carb is about 11mm. Take it easy on it, see how it feels on the top and adjust from their. Do your main, then your needle positioning, finally your pilot and air screw.
  6. Cascade Innovations is where I got mine, but, I think it is a Honda 250r throttle cable.
  7. Gonna need the space bar and the spell check on that one. :baseball_w00t:
  8. they are pj's then with powerjet retrofits on them. the pwk air striker is the only one that came with power jets.
  9. I run a 35mm pwk with a dek needle in middle clip position, 188 main jet, 45 pilot jet and 2 turns out on the a/f screw. Call Cascade, they run 2 into 1 setups on everything and know all the jetting specs for pj's and pwk's.
  10. The idea behind reed spacers is they move the reeds further away from the piston in hopes of emulsifying the fuel and air charge more before it enters the engine. They make more mid-top power. I have a pwk 35mm carb bowl with a welded drain on it for clearing the clutch arm.
  11. I was a little suprised at the fuel injectors numbers too. I guess when your looking for a complete burn you got them at all sorts of angles. :yelrotflmao:
  12. Well the pwk airstrikers have a power jet. Are your carb slides square or shaped like a "D"?
  13. Retrofitted power jet? Fuel line should be at least 1/4" and it ought to be ok.
  14. consult toomey, they actually probably have jetting specs on their website.
  15. Proper velocity helps to actually increase intake speed just like a vacume. The v8 anology was to remind people they are 10mm short of what a small block chevy needs when they run 2 35mm pwk carbs. You cant really compare a top fuel dragster to this nowadays. But the old style ones in the 70's used carbs for fuel delivery. The reason a 4500hp motor had two carbs stacked on the blower was because no one made a carb over 1150 cfm. Now days 8000hp top fuel cars are feed by a single blower with 42 fuel injector nozzles in the blower intake. So in essence I gues it does only have one throttle body.
  16. I dont ever see the need to run more than two 28mm carbs on a banshee. I personally ran two 28mm mikuni tm flatslides on my old drag bike and it ran great. I currently run one pwk 35mm carb. Those guys with dual 34's and 35's all taper bored have enough carb for a 600cc banshee on their ported 350's. I have a 310hp 5.3L engine in my truck, it has a 80mm throttle body on it. That engine is about 7 times the size of a banshee motor.
  17. You can put just about any single carb on their you want. I think the question you need to ask is what would work the best for your setup. A 38mm carb is enough, my buddy has a 4 mil cheetah and runs a 38mm lectron. My cousin has a ported 4 mil 350 and also ran a 38mm lectron, now he is running a 36mm lectron. I have a stock 350 with pipe and head and run a 35mm pwk.
  18. I just bought a podosracing +6 chrome with honda carrier off ebay for $425! If you race mx, your gonna want something sturdier though.
  19. I have an entire stock system that has 5 minutes of run time on it. It was pulled off a brand new bike 2 weeks ago.
  20. How much you wanna spend?
  21. the numbers are stamped into the jets.
  22. If mine doesn't look ok, I will just go back over it and clean it up.
  23. Just out of the wetline in the pipe, but no more than 6" away from the piston skirt on the exhaust side.
