  1. So unless he is a desert racer or is going on some kind of multi day expedition, then why cant he smoke his stuff at home or in his trailer for his medical reasons.
  2. We used to put acetone in our gas back in the early 90's when we had leaded fuels. Nowadays we just run 92 octane unleaded. I cant remember why we did it, but I can ask dyno dave next time I see him.
  3. I may look into doing it with the caps on still. Good job on pioneering the whole job though.
  4. Yeah its not a good idea to be operating any atv under the influence of anything but life. It goes double for a banshee.
  5. Oh, there arent any dust caps on the lowers. If I did this I would need the caps on, the sand could tear the crap out of those delron bushings.
  6. wow! SO, what he did on the lowers was cut the mount tubes and install spacers? Is there a finished picture of the bottom ones somewhere in this monster topic?
  7. If it is a wiseco overbore banshee piston, I am pretty sure it can be done.
  8. You said unscrew it, to me that implied completely removing it. I said loosen it.
  9. Ok, so is the banshee wider after putting the yfz arms on? Does this mod give it some sort of long travel suspension when using the yfz shocks?
  10. Ok, I am not gonna be mean about this. Seriously, If you cant figure it out on your own, you shouldn't be riding a banshee.
  11. That guy wanted to run cpi's on the trails, he would never even really see the peak rpm on that pipe in the tight stuff. He never gave up his carb size either. Oregons drag hills are about 100 yards long and whooped out. The midrange power works nice for the chops the engine does over the whoops. In that drag race video I posted, the front bike is a 4mill 2 into 1 setup with low-mid ptr's. Second place by 3 lengths back was a full port 350 with cpi's and 2 35mm pwk's. I was in third by only 1.5 lengths behind the ported 350 bike with my 2 into 1 pipe, 2 into 1 carb with 35mm pwk, a pro design head, and carbon tech reeds (stock internals). So, yeah I would say the midrange setup works pretty well. I can run the holes, then hit the hills without any issues. If I ever do another drag bike I am gonna do a cheetah 12 mill with a 65mm electronic tune port injection throttle body on a 2 into 1 intake with methanol and show you all. :yelrotflmao:
  12. We have some very fast bikes we ride with that run the 2 into 1 intake on them. They may not enter into a competition, but on a busy holiday weekend at the dunes, they very seldom lose races up boxcar and comp hill. Personally my own stuff back in the years of sandfest placed very well in the 350 mod class. I know my stuff, and I know these bikes pictured are very fast. The statement that a 2 into 1 intake, or a 2 into 1 pipe is only for trails or a stock bike is a very false statement. You guys can come up to Oregon and play in the holes with us anytime, then you will really see what these bikes can do on a steep hill.
  13. You dont need to unscrew the clutch adjuster nut to change the clutch. Do make sure it is adjusted before reassembly so your cable lever assy with the small arrow on the block lines up with the mark on the case when the clutch lever is just barely tensioned. Also, on the steel plates make sure they are put in the right way. There is a rounded edge and a sharp edge, but I cant remember which goes down when put in.
  14. Well, the 2 into 1 must be doing something right, cause here is 12 of some of the nicest banshees I know of with the setup on them. Ranging from stock cylinders, to cheetah cubs, and stock stroke up to 6 mill. 34mm Pj up to 40mm Lectrons. I guess we just break the laws of Bansheeism up here in the Northwest! Big daves cheetah cub with 2 into 1 Corey's 4 mill stroke with 2 into 1 Little Daves 4 mill with 2 into 1 Cascade Banshee with 2 into 1 Cascade Banshee #2 with 2 into 1 Cascade Banshee #3 with 2 into 1 intake Cascade Banshee #4 with 2 into 1 intake Cascade Banshee #5 with 2 into 1 intake Cascade Banshee #6 with 2 into 1 intake Cascade Banshee #7 with 2 into 1 intake Cascade Banshee #8 with 2 into 1 intake Trinity Racing Banshee with 2 into 1 intake
  15. ????????????
  16. Im a serious hill climber and a drag guy. A good majority of Cascades bikes run 2 into 1 carb setups. If you go to there site and like at the bike pics in the photo section you can see all the bikes with them on it. My bike having stock internals does pretty well against ported 350's. Steep idiot Hole The bike that one this race has a 2 into 1 carb on it also. Drag Video
  17. No different. You may want to look into doing an a arm conversion if you ride really hard though. Thos J-arm bikes will bend the arms bike little by little and wear out bushings fast. After awhile my friends bike bent back so far that it bent the shafts in his big bucks works shocks.
  18. cascadeinnovations.net
  19. Call ricky and see if he will trade ya an updated one?
  20. Nope, they work good in the sand too.
  21. I am thinking of doing the 2006 shocks, but the prices on ebay are only $75 less than the works steelers with no resevoirs. What do you guys think of the yfz shocks compared to the works no res. steelers?
  22. The top end on the 2 into 1 pipe drops off about 800 rpm lowert than a cpi. The dynoport makes it a lot easier to ride and navigate the tight stuff, then it opens right up out in the open. Everyone we ride with that has pro circuits wishes they had got one once I put it on. My buddy with the ptr low-mids on his 4mill has one and he is thinking about trying it out to see how it is. Drag Race against ported 350 and 4 mill stroker Only me and the guy with the 4 mill drove out of this hole. Steep Hole
  23. Trust me, I needed the low end to get out of that hole. The bike is good for everything but the flats with the way I set it up. Even hangs with ported 350's and my buddies 4mm in a drag race. Drag Race
  24. It ought to work ok if you have some good bolt ons to help it out. Hopefully the carb is at leadt a flat slide, and not a lectron though.
