  1. Make sure he did not put the carb slide in backwards, they will go in backwards and run like doo doo until you hit the upper mid range of the power band.
  2. I recommend Dan from Patriot Racing or Dave from ILR Performance. If all else fails then Ronnie Saner of RSR.
  3. The gold series is an awesome all around pipe. If you want to convert the power more towards the bottom end though, you will need to do this. This is what is done to my bike, and it makes a ton of torque and mid power. Dynoport 2 into 1 pipe with ultra quiet silencer. Dynoport Port job.(yes dynoport does port work for the 2 into 1 pipe). 2 into 1 trinity intake with 35mm pwk and K&N pod filter (you may want to run an airbox though) Stock reed cages with carbon tech low-mid reeds. Flywheel lightened. (rs heavier magnet flywheel). Cascade Heavy duty clutch kit. +4 timing advanced. Pro design head with 20cc domes on 92 octane pump gas (155 psi comp). 13/46 gearing. Wiseco Pro lite pistons. Its a real strong running bike, amazes a lot of people, and its easy to keep on the pipe at slow speeds.
  4. Its more accurate with the smaller adapter of the two because as the piston goes down every time the compression is released from the head and dumped out the exhaust. So basically the amount of space attached to the spark plug hole is easier to fill when its has less volume, thus being more acurate. You typically always want to check compression with the shortest adapter setup possible. Thats why a lot of automotive testers have a rubber nub on the bottom that you just push into the spark plug hole and hold.
  5. Anyone have a factory yamaha manual? Does it say to screw the dipstick in to check the fill level?
  6. The gytr box is a advanced curve ignition, how much exactly I dont know. I would try to contact gytr about it. We need to know your compression to tell you if you need to run 50/50 or full race gas.
  7. Your gonna need a machinist or engine builder to bore it. Changing jets is easy, just take the bottom of the carbs off. As far as the brakes, front or rear? Is the Handle lever Loose?
  8. If its gonna go on your record Hire a traffic lawyer, ask around and see who is the best. My Lawyer has gotten me out of probably 8-10 tickets since I was 16. I have a perfect record still.
  9. I have heard of these templates but never seen them. How do you transfer the template to the cylinder? Or is it just measurements you take then make in the cylinder?
  10. Only place I know of to get factory connectors and terminals is K&L Supply.
  11. What compression tester gauge did you use? Did you warm the bike first, hold throttle wide open, take both plugs out and kick it over 10 times? I am more inclined to think you have a hard start issue because of a spark problem if you know you have had a spark problem already.
  12. I would do a compression test and check the trans oil and coolant for any particles and/or discoloration.
  13. I would like to see Louie Swan from Twister crankshaft co. show up. What about K&T racing?
  14. Yes they can, I had Dave Moore lighten my rs flywheel a few weeks ago.
  15. Those are it, except I have a whole set of Matco ones. $$$$$$$ There should be a rail of big ones, then another rail of smaller sized ones.
  16. I use grease also. Usually to help hold it in place also.
  17. Personally I wouldn't silicone an o-ring head. If it isn't sealing then you got a cut o-ring, the wrong o-ring or something misaligned.
  18. Pull it back apart and check the area where it is leaking.
  19. Call Podos Racing. They built the fastest Banshee in North America for Banshee wars in 2005. There in South east Cali. Podos Racing Link
  20. The banshee stock cdi does have a rev limiter, but it is very high rpm. Start with a compression test if the noise is coming from the cylinder or crank area of the motor.
  21. My motor guy didn't recommend that tight of squish, thats all I am saying.
  22. Stock carbs? You didn't put them on switched around did you? The nipple is right acroos from where the left one is, that tube just fits straight in there.
  23. Just put the zerk in the center facing rearward so you can get the nozzle on it. I usually grease the axle where it goes through that steel sleeve when I put it together.
  24. Ok, so your main concern is the motor pitch is changing after riding a while corect? Is there anything you can think of thats happening or that your doing just before this happens? I actually have never really experienced something like that.
