  1. So, does it seem (lean) unresponsive, takes forever to get going? Or, does it seem (rich) burbles, smokes? The DEK needle is 1 step leaner 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. Its a tought one, most the bikes I setup run around a eek needle. Mine has an eel, and I am going to try an eem. Its a pain to do, but lots of times just when you think its running ok, you try a new needle and get it running better.
  2. I have painted pvc and a rhino rollbar with it. If you do good prep work it should hold up real well. It's nice cause you can touch up anything that gets scratched. I was thinking of doing my next bike with it, and even using it on the plastics.
  3. Friend of mine has them, I wasn't very impressed on the fit , finish, and functionality of them. It seemed like he just bought them cause no one else had them, and they cost alot.
  4. Most the shops around here carry the stuff. You use a near chrome or a silver flake, then do a candy color on top of it.
  5. adjust the needle, if it gets worse than go the other way.
  6. Pull the carb off and look.
  7. Have you ever seen a set in person?
  8. Ok, that might be too much. But the year of it doesn't matter if it has been restored. That bike is decked out in chrome, has a 370cc long rod motor, and even has a removable subframe.
  9. The fuel is not stored in the head, its in the tank, it gets burned off in the head. Plastic is fine, rubber, magnesium, and aluminum are bad.
  10. Like I said earlier, you xant have rubber or aluminum parts in contact with the fuel for a long time. So you will have to drain and flush your tank and carbs.
  11. Went with this.
  12. um yeah, dont do a half as powdercoat job. Do it right, or dont do it at all.
  13. This is my friends 4 mill that I just put together. Its a candy blue powdercoat on top of near chrome powdercoat (frame). Plastics were custom painted by cp customs.
  14. you can paint it, just tape it all off and spray it. I would use a spray gun and good paint though. Put junk nuts on everything, then put your good nuts on after you spray it.
  15. The key is to use the naval jelly with a sos pad or scotchbrite pad.
  16. Polish them with Naval Jelly.
  17. Does anyone have a Yamaha Blue Tucker pro arm (swingarm). I got this from Pro Sport ATV about 2 years ago for a friend of mine. Well now we are powdercoating some stuff on his bike. We are trying to match up the swingarm color. I think it is called reflex blue, but I dont know if reflex blue powdercoat has metallic in it. This color looks almost purplish in low light, then metallic blue in light. It matches up pretty well to the factory plastic colors. Anyone Know?
  18. ATC250R?
  19. Just dont ever leave feedback. If he ever leaves you a good or a neg, just nail him with a neg. Tell him you want some of your money back, take pictures off the frame and contact ebay about the false listing he posted.
  20. Your smoking crack if you think anyone will buy those for more than $10 with $30 for shipping!
  21. Well the head and the piston would be messed up if it was detonating. What was your compression and what octane gas was in it? How far advanced was the timing?
  22. What are you doing with the old motor?
  23. I think we should wait for the facts here before just telling him what to do. If he halfway serious about recreation drag racing, he probably has 22x11x8 superlite extreme haulers. That tire grows to almost 23" at full wheel speed. So a 14 tooth sprocket with a 41 tooth rear would even be too tall. We dont know anything yet, and he hasn't even replied since this morning.
  24. Cascade might now. I just had to make custom stinger tubes on a bike that I put cascade silencers on for a guy. He has cut T3's and it had a set of toomey silencers on it that did not pass sound check. Of course they weren't packed either.
