  1. I thought back in the day running like 2 left side blaster pegs moved the position down and back for drag racing. If your suspension is not setup for that kind of weight though, you will be smacking the pegs on the ground.
  2. My best friends bike has the frame stretched 2" up, and he has a +2 steering stem, with a 2" riser and a set of d bars. He is 6'5" 250lbs. Heres a pic of it. The bike has been torn back down and the frame repowdercoated since this pic was taken.Or click here for the big picture.
  3. well move it and see if it makes a difference.
  4. Alright, how old are you guys?
  5. Hell, on the way down to thew dunes in Oregon alone, you can see 1 strip club and 2 adult book stores from the freeway. I got off at an exit to eat at a McDonalds in Portland and the biggest porn store there is was right by the McDonalds. Oh yes, it was the Castle super store.
  6. I know why, its cause they sell playboy and penthouse in bookstores.
  7. Its cause you want to give up everything you have.
  8. WHY? I know dealerships around where I live that still have brand new ones in stock for sale. I saw a 2006 yesterday at the Dealer in my hometown.
  9. Run it wide open and check the plug color.
  10. always set main first, then needle, then pilot and air screw.
  11. adjust the needles.
  12. Oh, I forget this. After you have the flywheel lightened, you have to send it to them to be balanced on the crank as a complete assembly. I cant remember how much weight it was. But we had my crank and another one that was exactly the same before we had it done. If you held one in each hand, it was an obvious difference in weight, and the difference was pretty big.
  13. It was lightened, trued, welded, and balanced for $350.00 When we got it back, the thing was unbelievable looking. I almost didn't want to put it in the engine cause it would have looked good on my cofee table.
  14. I would run those pipes that you have, or pro circuits.
  15. Firehead, you sure do like that geek smiley. :geek:
  16. Im not a spring chicken either, it makes sense to me what he told me. You also have to realize something, I was on the quest for the smoothest and most powerful 350 in the world! So anywhere I could put the money, I did! Some people said when I would ride it, money would just blow out the exhaust.
  17. Jetting can severly augment the way power delivery feels. It may be alot different if your jetting and needle position still needs to be adjusted. What was this bike like before you put these parts on? What pipes, etc......?
  18. You can try adjusting the needle and see if it heps the throttle response at all.
  19. My engine guy told me it was a good idea to balance it after we had it lightened. The crank was taken apart and each piece was lightened and polished. I would guess you balance it when you reassemble it cause everything is a different weight.
  20. The last one is a compared run between my bike and another bike that the guy had tested on the dyno. The sheet showed how much faster my acceleration was compared to a bike with trinity pipes and stock carbs. It also shows the differences in power curves. I need to go back down there and do a few more runs after I get the needle dialed in more, cause my bike is even faster now than when we did those runs.
  21. I might have it, if not I can get it next time I go to the shop. I didn't per say feel a difference, but the dyno did detect a difference. The two engine guys I know that use dyno's, both said that a stockish bore, stock stroke motor will not benefit as much from reed spacers. A larger displacement motor will benefit more having them on. I do have some pics of some of my dyno sheets in a post somewhere on the BHQ though. Found it. Dyno Thread
  22. I dynoed a set of 3/8" spacers on and off my bike. On a small bore, stock stroke, ported 350 they will give you about .4 hp in the midrange. Without them on, the midrange curve goes back down .4 hp and you gain 1.2 hp on the top end.
  23. typically what they are supposed to do is help intake velocity and emulsification. They would do this best between the cylinder and the reed cage.
  24. I did it all through my engine guy who is a friend of mine that I ride with and hang out with. He sent it to falicon and handled talking to them. I definitely felt like I got my money's worth when it was done. The crank was considerably lighter than before it went in, the bike revved very fast, and the engine ran very smooth.
  25. What else did you mess with? I am thinking maybe something was not properly reinstalled when testing or checking it? It has to be an intake air leak or carb slides, thats the only way it can rev all the way up.
