  1. my experience with cranks is this. true and weld is to make tdc and bdc exactly 180 degrees apart on a twin. Then weld the web so it does not come apart. Balance is to put the crank in a device and remove any uneven occilations from it as a rotating assembly. I had my old Banshee hot rod long rod crank done by these guys. They lightened, trued, welded, and balanced it for me. Falicon Cranks Link
  2. I cant believe that no matter how many times you tell people to go up the hill and come down on the side, someone still doesn't get it.
  3. Your not going to be able to look at the pipe and tell when it comes down to say a top end pipe vs a top end pipe. Outlet diameter, exp chamber size, pipe length, cone taper, chamber length, and general design all play a part in how a pipe performs.
  4. Cool, we only went down there Saturday night for a little bit after the accident.
  5. I just bought one, send it now!
  6. Where you out there last weekend?
  7. Here is my cousin's bike the Yugo!
  8. If you want to count the people I ride with that dont get on here that will make (3) 4 mill strokers, and (1) 7 mill stroker that run the 2 into 1 intake also.
  9. Its normal, I run maxima mtl 85w endurance, my bike has done it since it was brand new.
  10. I haven't got a chance to try a 2 into 1 pipe on a 4mill yet, so until I do, I can't speak for how it will run. I am planning on doing it soon though, we have a motofast 2 into 1 pipe laying around and the silencer for it is trashed. So I got to mach up a silencer and stinger tube then run it on the stroker and see what happens.
  11. That had to be a little chilly in december. We stayed in the campground one time in November and froze our A$$es off.
  12. I have one, I like it alot. I ride sand, but I spend ost my time in the holes and riding the sand trails. I drag race for fun and I go up the big hills. I like the setup alot.
  13. The real good bottom end pipes are the old fmf torque pipes. Outside of doing a 2 into 1 exhaust, or the old fmf's, you can also look at pt low-mids and pro circuits. A stroker will definitely put a little hitch in your giddy up if you can pony up the cash for it. If you do a stroker though, it would be a good idea to have it ported.
  14. Rudy has been doing banshees a long time, he is good. I have personally seen him race his old drag banshee and the H2 trike at Sandfest back in the 90's.
  15. hope ya have good weather, thats starting to cut into the wet season up here.
  16. I need to know what you 2 into 1 pipe guys are running for jetting, needles, and clip positions in your stock carbs. There is a guy I met in Oregon thats having a hell of a time getting his jetted right. I dont have stock carbs, so I though I would ask.
  17. Need to know the needle size more than anything.
  18. Whats your compression? Whats your dome size? whats your octane?
  19. New domes, port job, wiseco pistons, adj timing plate, at least clutch springs, pipe, carb, intake if you do the 2 into 1. Lightened flywheel also. Carbon tech low-mid reeds also. Just go off the list I posted earlier and do what you can.
  20. The dynojet mains I had for my Rhino were not the same size equivelants to the stock main jets.
  21. the nubs are not supposed to touch the pickup, the gap should be between .015"-.020" or so.
  22. motion pro axle nut wrenches.
  23. If its wide open, I would put some different pipes on like cpi's or something. I would also put in like a carbon tech mid-top reeds, and get some bigger carbs for it.
  24. Nope it was not 49hp, and it was not on a crank dyno. It made 54hp on and rear wheel dyno jet. Some of the huge things that people disregard when testing on a dyno is run times and torque curves. My bike had a faster run time on the dyno, than any other stock cylinder ported Banshee he had ever run. So thats where these torque numbers play a huge role. The acceleration of my bike is awesome. Now, my best friends stock cylinder, ported, 4mm jsd stroker on the same dyno made 62hp, which makes sense, cause it will rip me a new one on the hill. The stroker had about a .2 second faster run time than me too, which is pretty considerable acceleration wise. I would assume on the crank dyno based on the other motors I have seen Dyno Dave run on it, my motor would probably be in the 63-66 hp range off the crank. A full port 350 with PC pipes on it made about 68hp. I think that 4mm jsd stroker would probably be around 75-78 hp on the crank dyno. All iin mind, I am trying some new needles this weekend, so I think I can pickup a litle more power down low, we will see though. Its been hard to get the needle dialed, cause there is nobody with my pipe, port, and intake setup that has ran a pwk 35mm carb before. So I had to try and guess my needle size, now I have been buying needles and trying them out, and I am probably 1 size away from where I need to be now. The difference between the dek needle and the eek needle I run now though was amazing. Turned the bike into a wheelie monster 1/2-7/8 throttle wise. I run a +6 swingarm on it too.
