I'm running 13 on my cub.. but I'm using alky too..

I ran 7 advance on my dune motor with 19cc domes. I always used sunoco 110 fuel. Never had any tuning issues or detonation problems. I would think you'd be safe.. But its your motor not ours...

This is just my opinion ofcourse.. I do know a few builders that prefer ported cages also besides LC. To each their own..

I agree.. I feel a stock ported cages with a good set of reeds flows good on engines with mild motor work. I think the drag bikes tend to benifit more from the VF then a stock or mildly built motor. The bike used in the dyno was a 350cc with RDZ drag porting with OOF RDZ pipes using 40mm thottle bodies.

I just grabed a jug of mejier brand anti freeze.. I'm pretty sure they're all safe for aluminum.

I use Engine ICE.. But thats only for cosmetic purposes and Bel Ray's NO-Tox moto cool was more then the ICE.. I used 50/50 blend of standard anti freeze for years. Could also use Striaght water with some water wetter. Take your pick, all depends on your budget.

Here is some comparisons that were posted a while ago when People were claming the 1dir reeds to make more power then the VF's the carbon tech's are on ported cages. The thread was deleted off PS. But it was posted by a very respected builder. I beleive he used a FI type system to make sure each cage was run at optimum setting.. In his thread he said what had to be done to each cage. Wish the didn't delete the thread....

When I worked for the dealer over here, They would give you blue book trade in value on the trade but then they would sell the new machine at suggested retail rather then the price marked.

yeah, They were boxed. But I ship them through my local dealer wich ships ups.. So I dont think they charge me the extra charges.. :shrug:

And some like to piss on other people just because they think they know more.. Just have to learn to weed them out and not listen to them...

From MI to KS cost me 15.00 for tires and rims through UPS.

Alot of times with them older bikes that sat awhile like to have electrical problems. Sometimes they can be exspensive to fix.. other times its as simple as cleaning the carbs out and a oil change. Its a gamble.

I'd just buy a new one. There only 15-20 bucks ( I'm sure you knew that) and you would have a lil peace of mind knowing its a good part.

I'm hoping my frame will get me close to the 3's.. but I have a feeling that a bar is gonna be needed before I'll see the 3's.
