  1. Tony Dukas racing sells replacements for the 2's. Even have epoxy replacements for alot less the the carbon fibers. Each set has 4 pedals.. enough for one cage.
  2. :yelrotflmao: Sorry I blew up... no pun intended...
  3. Thats why I asked if the last build had a stock head.. I was thinking the same thing. I figured the stock head was rechambered for the decking.. I just assumed it was a stock head on the last build.
  4. :yelrotflmao:
  5. did the previous build use a stock head? I think .036 is way too tight.. I normally shoot for anything between .045 -.050 with the stockish motors.
  6. Ok.. I could have swore someone was taking bets on how long it would take before it blew up.
  7. yeah.... thats one of the points for the under cover version.. which I dont have. You are aware that there is two versrions of slingshot right??? bump for a nice cover and locker.
  8. Passion builds a great dune motor and has some of the smothest power curves I've ever ridden. imo Wesw is a 12 port stud and can answer just about any question you have.
  9. biggest difference is that you dont have to find a spot to mount the resi's.. Difference in oil temps will not be noticed as they both have different features to help cooling.
  10. Try to find some with higher shear strength.
  11. I'll trip the first stage light then clean the motor out with a coupole quick whips of the throttle... its all part of a routine! lol Just gonna have to get out there and have some fun!
  12. The slingshots can hold more power. But that dont make them better.. I actually prefer the DD style lockup. I just dont want to take a chance on my clutch slipping with the new build.
  13. Did I miss somthing here??
  14. Here is whats making me think this is a modded stock cover. This is a direct drive cast cover. Notice there isn't any lettering and its rounded around the kick start area with more material. Not saying there is anything wrong with it.. I just need to make sure its a cast cover since I already have a modded stock cover from direct drive and my sling shot dont quite fit. I appolagize if this is coming across rude.. I dont mean it too.
  15. Do you have a better pic? I'd like to get a better look at the kick start area and under the pump cover.
  16. can't really tell from the pic.. but it looks like a modded stocker. I'm in the market for a new cover and lockup, but thats a lil outta my range.
  17. Is this a modded stock cover or a Direct Drive casted cover?
  18. Thats pretty much the reason I dont like the 2 out ea. side pipes... too much weight on th lower pipe mount when your banging through ruts and whoops. I used one out ea and mounted it direct to the peg and ran it all season in the dunes with no problems. But to answer the question.. I think we all use the rubber isolators from grainger.. I even got my tank on rubber isolators.
  19. nope its bracket racing... just need to be consistant .
  20. He's talking about a rigid chassis...
  21. It really has nothing to do with down shifting.. The standard overides can't be backloaded while the duneables can be to a extent.. A few good examples of back loading would be letting off the gas after a full throttle run and not pulling in the clutch and the using the engine to slow you down. thats backloading the trans. Or when you down shift and let the clutch out and us the engine for braking.. thats backloading
  22. its going to be bracket /index classes and MAYBE a few heads up classes.
  23. Tyson Racing Brad Tyson and Dan Hull have been doing the turbo's for awhile now.
  24. I put the clutch pack in and push on the plates (as hard as possible).. then hit the nut with a impacket. This is after you undo the lock washer of course..
