  1. What is the general consensus on the "ProX" cylinder kits? What about the billet reed cages?? (Eddie Sanders Racing stuff)
  2. It is most likely stock, if that is what the guy said.. You might weigh less then your buddies or your quad is just tuned a little better. 40-60 over doesn't make that big of a difference.
  3. Take a glass jar, put some of your oil in it and then add gas to it. I bet the oil dissolves in the gas.. Just dump the oil in and then add the gas.. It will mix just fine. Just make sure your ratios are correct..

  8. I think all of the carnage happened at high RPM. I was cruising down the road, 6th gear pinned, when all of a sudden it fell on its face and I had 1 cylinder worth of power.
  9. The piston that came apart was a Yamaha piston, I just put the other one next to it so you can reference it. This was a result of riding it half a mile after the rod disconnected itself from the piston. There wasn't any strong vibration coming from the engine and I didn't feel like pushing it home, so i lugged it back on one cylinder. In hindsight I wish i would have shut it down and pushed it back.. It is at passion right now and I am waiting on Jim to call me and let me know how much damage it did. The funniest thing was when I pulled the head off both pistons were at TDC.

  13. Where the fuck are these cylinder drains?
  14. Check and make sure that there isnt any slop in the crank/rods.. Take a ball hone and put a good cross hatch in the cylinders.. Shopvac out all of the coolant before pulling the head.. Turn it over half a dozen times before you fire it up for the first time and I would mix the gas a lil on the rich side for the first tank.
  15. Why don't you just put a Nitrous kit on it? My shee will eventually get a nitrous kit.. I think it will be the easiest and most reliable setup when it comes to a "power adder" on a banshee.
  16. Hey I just rebuilt and had to bore .20 over, i shouldnt have to rejet should I?

Hey I just rebuilt with the stock bore size and with about an hour on the motor the rings on the right side of the motor came apart destroying the piston but by some miracle the cylinder walls are alright but will need to be honed... now when I rebuilt it I put wiseco pistons in it... well being christmas time and me being in college I havent had money to buy a new piston.. For christmas my rents bought me a new piston, rings, and gaskets so I can put it back together but they bought Genuine Yamaha rings and piston... Do you think there is a difference in weight between the two brands of pistons? If so do you think it will cause any problems for me? Thanks for any help..
