  1. I have a set of Works Triple Rates with reservoirs that are recently rebuilt for a 250lb rider and recreation valved for +2 arms. New reservoir outer cans, new stainless steel braided lines and new fittings. They are pulled right now and in my car ready for sale. PM me if you're interested. I ran out to my car and took some pics.
  2. Hopefully that should be very apparent to anyone in this hobby... Here's a diagram that depicts what jets affect which circuits.
  3. I am currently parting my 87. I'll have a stock stroke crank and a set of 64.5mm stock port jugs for sale. PM me if you're interested. I'm pulling the jugs next Friday night.
  4. Yeah, I knew it was one way or the other. Thanks for correcting that, I hate spreading misinformation.
  5. The eccentric stud gets worn over time and should be replaced as well as the lock washer that locks the nut. The spring also gets worn from the eccentric stud too. Have a look at both pieces for wear. I'm pretty sure the transmission should be in neutral when adjusting the eccentric stud as well.
  6. Look at the intakes for cracks and both sides of the reeds for leaks.
  7. Look at the intakes for cracks and both sides of the reeds for leaks.
  8. ^^^ exactly
  9. what mods do you have? what elevation? what air temp? Air screw 1 turn from full tight indicates almost needing a larger pilot.
  10. going on 6 weeks. what happened?
  11. Any site sponsor can get you the rubber caps for your carbs. 9th item down. --> http://www.cascadeinnovations.net/store/store_View.cfm?STORE_AREA_ID=13&store_dept_id=435 Yes, the hose links the left carb choke plunger choke circuit to the right carb choke circuit to pull fuel into the right carb choke circuit so the bike idles correctly when cold.
  12. No, it's just that j-arms wear out bushings faster than a-arms.
  13. Oh sit, you do have a J-Arm banshee. No worries on the J-Arms. There are some aftermarket J-Arm options for you that are +2" wider/side and +1" forward with excellent ball joints that allow for camber adjustment. You can get J-Arm rebuild kits, but you probably only need dust seals/caps and new pivot bushings. There are Bronze bushings and Delrin bushings, but we'll cross that bridge if you need to.
  14. Cascade Innovations has been around since the beginning and has everything you could possibly imagine for a Banshee. But, if you shop around you can usually find a better deal. Here's a link directly to parts for your 28mm Keihin PWK Carbs that you have. http://www.cascadeinnovations.net/store/store_View.cfm?STORE_AREA_ID=13&store_dept_id=435 FAST Racing is another killer shop that has everything for Banshees. Look around you'll probably find the carb cao boots you're looking for, if not, call them and I bet they have it in stock. If you're into tuning and getting shit running perfect, this Carb Synchronizing tool is a must for a Banshee owner that cares how well his shit runs. http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=59 I also use a cheap eBay 2 stroke tachometer to dial in idle and mid throttle synchronizing. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/2-stroke-tachometer Pretty much anyone of the site sponsors can get you any part for your Banshee. What year is yours? Looks like you have some type of billet bearing carrier for your stock swing arm too.
  15. From what I can see it has Keihin 28mm PWK Carbs w/K&N Style Pod Filters and Outerwears, Billet Intake, Pro-Design Cool Head and CPI In-Frame Drag Pipes. I can't tell what reed cages it has. Did the PO mention anything about the engine, ie., what size bore the cylinders are on, what type cylinder porting (Trail, MX, Dune, Drag), who did the porting, what size compression domes are used in the head, what octane fuel is required. what oil the PO used to mix with fuel, what mixing ratio, what transmission oil is used? Get yourself a Clymers Service Manual. The search function is good. Just click on the white magnifying glass in the green box at the right of the search bar to search where you want, by title and so on. How does it run? Welcome to the forum...
  16. Do you know if Kevin custom cut the domes for your motor?
  17. stk carbs to 82whp. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169881&hl=%2Bredline
  18. Redline 4mil stk cyl Dune port on race gas. Looks like ~18whp but shift your powerband to the right 1k rpm. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169881&hl=%2Bredline
  19. That's all that matters buddy! I'd be happy with that motor too. In fact I have all of the supporting mods already, just need domes, 4mil crank and an aggressive MX Port for my 2002 play bike.
  20. I agree 100% with everything you said. Here's a Redline 4mil stk cyl, stk carbs, VF3's, CPI pipes on pump gas. It's down 10whp at 7k rpm, but makes 76whp at 10k rpms. Personally I prefer cary724's motor with more power down low. I wonder if there's any way to stretch his powerband out to the right another 500rpm or so? http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=148961&hl=%2Bredline And her's a Redline 4mil Dune Port on race gas. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=169881&hl=%2Bredline
  21. Maybe it is, i don't know. It does coincide with the straight hp line from the same rpm though. Whatever the case may be. A 4mil stk cyl MX Port should make over 70whp on race gas, period...
  22. If you're referring to me because I posted the link to HJR's site, then yes I know that. But don't you think a 4mil stk cyk MX port should easily be north of 70whp, especially on race gas. Here's a stk cyl, stk strk, HJR Dune Port, pump gas, T5's and stk carbs. Third pic from the left, top row. http://www.herrjugsracing.com/photo_album.html Also, if you compare the two dyno plots, the stk strk stk cyl HJR Dune Port makes 50whp before 7k rom.
  23. @ cary724, what pipes, carbs, reeds and gearing are you running?
